  19. A mysterious photograph on an Aston Martin Rapide with Delhi Police wrap was raising a few eyebrows. No one seem to have an explanation about this particular Aston Martin Rapide. The over INR 4.1 crore supercar was seen wrapped in the same livery as the standard Delhi Police vehicles. It even had “DIAL 100” message written on the side along with “Delhi Police” written across the doors and on the rear bumper. So did Delhi Police actually add the INR 4.1 crore supercar to its fleet? The answer is NO. The car will be seen in Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandes starrer movie, “Drive”. The 5.9-litre V12 engine British car with 470 Bhp of power and 600 Nm of torque will be seen burning the tarmac along with a Lamborghini Murcielago in the movie. Here’s a tweet by the producer of the film, Karan Johar: More photographs of the vehicle were snapped at the BigBoyToyz dealership. It would have been fun to see an Aston Martin patrolling the VIP areas of Delhi but we’d probably have to wait for years before that happens. We’d like to hear your views about the Aston Martin Rapide with Delhi Police wrap through the comments section below. Source

  22. Renault has revealed the production-spec Renault Kwid for Latin American markets ahead of its debut at the 2017 Buenos Aires Motor Show tomorrow. The Renault Kwid will go up for pre-order in Brazil tomorrow, with deliveries are scheduled to commence in August. High-resolution images with more details are still awaited, but from the images available now, it looks like the Renault Kwid for Latin America has some minor differences to the Indian-spec version on the outside. The fender cladding (front) don’t have turn indicators, the ORVMs look slightly different in shape, the door moulding has a different design, comes with 14 inch gun metal alloy wheels, the door handles are body-coloured and it has a rear wiper+defogger. Inside, the central HVAC vents have multiple horizontal grille bars, the window controls are below the touchscreen and it has analogue instrument dials along with a multi-info display. The Brazilian-spec Renault Kwid will get the 1.0-litre flex-fuel engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or the Easy-R automated manual transmission. The flex-fuel engine produces 79 cv (79 hp) and 10.2 kgfm (100.03 Nm) of torque (petrol)/82 cv (82 hp) and 10.5 kgfm (102.97 Nm) of torque (ethanol). The Brazil-made Renault Kwid consists of 40% India-made parts, but is much safer than the Indian-spec version. It was reported in April that the former will undergo chassis strengthening and come equipped with more safety equipment. While the Indian-spec Renault Kwid 1.0 SCe weighs 699 kg, the Brazilian-spec Renault Kwid tips the scales at 840 kg (+141 kg). The latter also gets dual-front and side airbags as standard, as well as traction control and stability control in the AMT model. Prices of the Brazilian-spec Kwid are expected to start from BRL 29,990 (INR 5,90,175.54), which is much higher than the entry-price of the Kwid 1L version in India (INR 3,54,312, ex-showroom).
