  2. Fiat Linea facelift is bound for Indian auto industry by the last quarrter of 2013. Production of the new Linea is scheduled to start from Sep 2013, at their Ranjangaon facility near Pune. Specially tuned to the Indian market, 2013 Linea will receive a new front fascia with new bumpers and grille. It will also receive a new lip spoiler, restyled rear bumpers and tail lamps along with chrome fittings. Interiors have also to be upgraded and will be seen in lighter tones with premium looking upholstery while there are three layered dual colors seen on the dashboard. In Turkey, Linea possesses a 1.3 liter Multijet II diesel engine and a 1.4 liter Multiair petrol engine while buyers in India will have to wait even more as the MultiAir is not going to feature in the new Linea. The current Linea model in India, comes with a 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine offering 114 PS power and 207 Nm torque. In Turkey, Linea facelift is priced between TRL 35,950 (Rs 10,94 lakhs) to TRL 55,440 (Rs 16.86 lakhs). Linea did not get its deserved sales numbers in India. Sales suffered primarily due to not so premium sales and service network in India, which was under the Fiat-Tata joint venture. As per recent updates received, Fiat will now be setting up their own sales and service networks through Fiat Exclusive Sales and Service networks which will enable the company to provide more personalized services directly to their customers in the coming year. 3. In India the Grand Vitara has not been as successful as its stablemates. Primarily due to its thirsty petrol engine. At a time when diesel rules in the SUV segment customers see no point in going for a petrol engined SUV- that factor has led to the downfall of the Vitara. But for all you Vitara fans out there, there is light at the end of the tunnel in form of the new face-lifted Vitara which has just made its debut in the UK markets. The reason behind posting this thread is the Vitara will no more be powered with a guzzling petrol engine but with a diesel. Yes, with the 1.9-litre DDiS 127bhp diesel engine, the Vitara has another chance to have a second life in the still diesel centric market. This diesel is smooth and also has bags of torque to go with it. Plus needless to say the efficiency will be much better than the current petrol unit. Though it is not just about the diesel engine but the styling tweaks that have made the Vitara a more attractive package. At the front of the car the bumper and grille have been re-styled with a more angular design and the foglamp styling has been revised. Additional changes include inner headlight black accents on 5 door SZ5 models, and new design 17” or 18” alloy wheels. As the spare wheel is mounted on the rear door the Grand Vitara grows in length by 200mm. This feature particularly adds some muscle to the design. The diesel has also been honered for better performance and economy. The question is, "Will india see the Vitara's comeback?" Yes, in the future we can expect! Though whether it will have the diesel is still uncertain but Maruti being experts at the Indian auto-market will know that a diesel is important if the Vitara wants another shot at the Indian SUV segment. I certainly think this has a lot of potential in India. I mean here is a diesel SUV that looks nice & has a diesel and will have the biggest service and sales set-up to back it, don’t bet against it! It's Indian debute is still a mistry, but we can expect it in late 2013, as current civic is very dated & new Octevia is also launching by mid 2013! 2013 Honda Civic is also fitted with class leading features such as Bluetooth, HandsFreeLink, Audio, rear view camera, color i-MID display, USB/iPod connectivity, Pandora Interface, steering wheel audio controls, external temperature gauge etc. It also comes in with a marginal price increase of $160 across its entire lineup with pricing of the 2013 Civic LX commencing at $18,165. 5. The new Range Rover which debuted globally recently will be launched for customers in India on the 30th of November 2012. This announcement comes as a surprise as it has been seen that generally car makers take quite some time after international launches, before they launch their cars in Indian markets; may be this is effect of the Indian management having better knowledge of Indian Market situation! The new 2013 Range Rover SUV was officially unveiled earlier this year in August. Subsequently, Jaguar Land Rover announced that they have invested £370 million in the new Range Rover which boasts of an all aluminum chassis, that makes it lightweight thereby improving performance and fuel economy. Fuel emissions too are reduced considerably. Wheelbase has been raised by 100 mm and an innovative air suspension system coupled with Terrain Response 2 makes it easier for one to traverse any type of terrain with ease. Three engine variants are available for those opting to buy this vehicle. Engine specifications are as follows: 4.4 liter V8 diesel, 3.0 liter V6 diesel and 5.0 liter V8 petrol. These engines produce power outputs of 335 bhp, 255 bhp and 503 bhp respectively. Six piston brembo brake caliper for the front wheels, power steering as also an 8 speed ZF transmission which powers the wheels are features in the new model. Expect the new Range Rover to carry a price tag of INR 1 Crore. Official prices will be revealed at the launch on 30th Nov 2012. Deliveries of the 2013 Range Rover will begin next year. 6. Hyundai is looking to get the new Santa Fe to India by 2013. It will be powered by a 2.2 litre diesel motor with 194 bhp on tap. Internationally, two versions of the new Santa Fe exist. There’s the normal 4689mm (2700mm wheelbase) version for markets where urban agility is more important, and a long, 4905mm (2800mm wheelbase) version that replaces the Veracruz in the USA. Despite our infatuation with imposing road presence and acres of cabin space when it comes to SUVs, we are likely to get the shorter version, currently being produced in the USA. This is the third gen Santa Fe and also carries the Fludic Design philosophy seen in other Hyundai models on our roads. However it gets its own design dialect called 'Storm Edge' Hyundai will be looking to price the new Santa Fe between Rs. 24 to 25 lakhs. Things seem to be hotting up in the premium SUV market with many players joining the game. This is only good news for the customer who will get spoilt for choice.
  7. Honda has given a teaser of it upcoming Brio based sedan (Black car) . This car is said to hit the Indian market in 2013 and will be powered by a 1.5 litre diesel engine. It is also said that it will be a sub 4 meter sedan which will give it excise benefits. Honda seems to have a winner on its hands and this has everything to become the king of its segment. And atlast from the teaser pic it seems to be a decent looker as well Question is is this car the ace up Honda's sleeve which can turn out to be a Dzire , Verito and Indigo CS killer? With a right price I feel so Last pic credit and source: IndianAutosBlog
