  1. Spy shots of the Hyundai Elantra facelift have surfaced online. The front bumper and the foglamps are likely to be revised. Headlamps get new detailing which look more premium than that of the current car. As with most facelifts, the alloy wheel pattern has changed to a more interesting design. The rear of the car also gets slight revisions with the combination lamp getting new elements. The interior would not undergo any drastic changes while the same applies to the hardware as well. The Indian Elantra would continue to use the 1.6 litre 126bhp diesel and the 1.8 litre 147 bhp petrol engines mated to 6-speed manual or automatic gearboxes. The 2014 Hyundai Elantra is expected to make its global premiere towards the end of 2013. Source: IndianAutosBlog

  6. The original Sumo was a big hit with private buyers and the yellow plate market alike. It was one of Tata's best seller by far. But the same cannot be said of the Grande which didnt sell that much and was outdone by better products from rival companies. Now Tata Motors is set to give the Sumo Grand a makeover and design cues are said to be coming from the new Range Rover / Land Rover SUVs. Things will remain same under the hood, the 2.2 Liter DICOR turbo diesel engine with the variable geometry turbo charger will be retained, along with the rear wheel drive layout that the current version of the Grande comes with. It is also said that all of Tatas products will take engineering inputs from LR which I think is a way in the right direction. Here are some design sketches of the Sumo Grande facelift Source: indiancarbikes.in
  7. Here are pics of the facelifted SsangYong Korando spotted testing in Korea. The Ssangyong Korando, a compact five seater SUV that’s positioned in the C Segment. The front fascia is fully camouflaged doesnt give a clue about the changes and it also suggests the face could have a comprehensive makeover. The headlamp elements are all new and feature projector bulbs that are surrounded by turn indicators and LED daytime running lights. The Korando is powered by 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor develops 149PS while the oil burner is available in two states – 149PS and 175PS. Engines are paired to 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The Korando might be the next from Ssangyong to come to India. Source: IndianAutosblog and Autospy.net

Saw this one last week. Is this a face lift? The 2015 Rexton? Got pics from left side and one from back. The driver noticed me clicking pics and sped off . So he was surely hiding something.. Anyways, here are the pics.. Leftside Backside And don't criticize my method of watermarking.... I like to play around :P
  9. The Scorpio has been around for long time and has undergone quite a few changes including engines. Since Mahindra said there will be no new vehicle to hit the market before 2016, looks like they will be giving existing products a makeover. Here are a couple of pis of a Scorpio testing with camo. The front seems to be disguised as well as the tail gate. Looks like the significant changes would be happening in these two areas. Would be interesting to know what improvents would go into the facelifted Scorpio. Here are the pics Source: Team BHP
  10. The Tata Aria hasnt really seen the success it expected. First of all it was launched with a hefty price tag which was eventually lowered with 4x2 and cut price variants as well but that hasnt done any wonders either. Here is recent spy shot of the Aria. If you observe carefully it has smoked headlamps which might signal that the Aria might be headed for a facelift soon. The Aria was also showcased with an AT box at the Auto Expo last year but there has been no news on that at all. Youe opinions on the facelift and what Tata should do to turn the Aria's fortunes in the market News and pic source: Motorbash.com

  13. BMW is on a testing spree and it seems like October is their favourite testing season!! First we saw the two test mules, the 1 Series GT and the 1 Series based 7 Seater being tested. And now this!! The Next Gen X6, the Facelifted X3 & the new 4 Series Gran Coupe. The Next Generation X6: From the following spy shots it can be seen that BMW has becided to give the New Second-Generation X6 a more aggressive appearence than the outgoing model. And in order to improve interior space BMW has increased its size, rising from 4877mm to approx. 4910mm. Power is likely to come from a new range of twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel and tri-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engines, as well as a selection of upgraded 4.4-litre V8 petrols for both standard and M division cars. A hybrid version, combining the 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor, is also in development. But i am a bit sceptical about the M and Hybrid version of the next gen X6 hitting Indian shores. The new X6 is based on a shortened version of the same platform found on the new X5. Made largely of steel, this is said to bring significant weight savings, as will the new axle assemblies, which the X6 shares with the 5 Series. This test mule was captures at the Nurburgring. Final production model is expected to launch late next year. Here are a few pics: The Facelifted X3: The current X3 does not have any major flaws and infact is one of the best cars in its segment. But in the international market BMW is surely feeling the heat from its arch-rivals, the Audi Q5 and Mercedes Benz GLA both of which recently received cosmetic makeovers. Hence BMW has decided to give the current X3 a facelift!! The facelift includes new head lights, integrated fog lights, new tail lights and minor design tweaks on the exterior. The facelifted X3 could also bring along a few newer engine options. Here are a few pics: The New 4 Series Gran Coupe: A layman would easily confuse this one with the 3 Series, but the new 4 Series Gran Coupe will be posher and more dynamic than the 3 Series. With good amount of head room and decent boot size, BMW has made it a very practical option. Expect this car to make an international debut by around mid next year!! I am a little bit sceptical about this car making it to the Indian car market, but i hope it does!! Here are a few pics: Sources: www.autoevolution.com & www.autocar.co.uk
  14. Mercedes seems to be already working on a facelift for its B Class. The updated model has a new front fascia with a revised grille and restyled headlights. There is also a new exhaust system that is neatly integrated into the rear bumper. The B Class is sold in India in both petrol and diesel variants. I am not a fan of the current B Class especially when the A Class is such a looker. Lets see when the facelift comes to India. Here are pics Source and more pics here : Worldcarfans
  15. These are spy shots of the facelift Dacia / Renault Duster testing in Spain. On the outside, the new Duster will get fresh headlights , grille and bumpers at front and at the back, a similar setup, with new rear lights and smaller changes to the rear bumper. Inside, the dash of the new Duster will remain the same, without adopting the newer nav system of the Logan. But the instrument cluster will come out of the sedan. For the first time, the Duster will be fitted with cruise control.Of course we dont know if all this will eventually make it to the Indian model The facelift Duster is supposed to be unveiled at the upcoming Frankfurt Motorshow in September Source: Autoevolution
  16. The facelift 2014 Mercedes E Class has been spotted on Pune streets. It is also said in the source that the ARAI has given the homologation certificate that means that the car can be launched in India. The car seen in the pictures is the E250 CDI so that could be the first model to launch. The car also seems to be the Avantgarde since the three pointed star is on the grille. Could the launch be around the corner? The word is that June 25th is said to be the launch date. Mercedes anyways has planned an onslaught of new models this year Here are the pics Source: Team BHP
  17. The Indigo seems to be a case of never say die and Tata is making it soldier on. How long we dont know but here are clear spy pictures of the eCS which has undergone a facelift. At the upfront, the smart looking grille is the most noticeable change. Also seen are new fog lamps. That completes the changes to the front end. Moving to the back, the rear bumper now gets dual tone shades. The car seen in the pics is a diesel LX variant. There is no clue as to when this model will be launched but it should be sometime this year. But it is not alone as it will have competition from other sub 4 meter sedans like the DZire and the soon to come Verito CS as well. At a time when sales are down Tata should be looking at new models rather than keep refreshing old ones in my opinion Source: Motorbash
  18. are undisguised pictures of the facelifted Tata Nano which will be launched sometime this year. Though its nothing very major here is whats new : Chrome strip on the rear of the car to add a dash of premium-ness to the Nano’s backside The glove boxes atop the dashboard(first seen on the Nano Special Edition) now become standard The facelifted Nano also gets dual speakers that are integrated into the dashboard of the car Honeycomb grille above the rear bumper of the car Integrated Stereo Source: indiancarsbikes.in
  19. Tata Motors has recently said that it will be launching refreshed versions of its existing models. We already have threads on Aria and Indigo eCS facelifts. Now here are pictures of the facelift Indica eV2 testing. Some points according to the source: The car will get the new Urban Brown paint job, the same colour seen on the Indigo eCS facelift. The front bumper to see a redesign and will look similar to what the facelifted Indigo eCS offers. Chrome surrounds for the fog lamps Grille gets a dollop of chrome (current eV2 grille has a grey finish) Hatch lid will get a chrome strip somewhat similar to the chrome detailing on the Indigo Marina, but wider New alloy wheel design for the top end variant Beige colour scheme on the dashboard Silver accents will replace wood finish on the center console 1.4 Liter CR4 turbo diesel engine might get a slight tweak (Not confirmed) Here are the pics Source: Team BHP
  20. BMW seems to be on a roll. First it was the news of the Mini going CKD with the Countryman and today they launched the facelift 7 Series in India at an event in Mumbai. The facelift 7 Series will be sold in petrol and diesel in the following variants : 730ld (diesel) 740li,750li and 760li (petrol). An important thing to note here is that the 730ld diesel variant will now be assembled in India as a CKD. The other 3 petrol variants will be imported as CBUs. The new car gets revised detailing on the nose, new fog lamps, a more upright kidney grille and the option of adaptive full-LED headlights. At the rear, it gets a thick chrome strip running across the bootlid. With regard to design, the carmaker hasn’t tampered much, the new model getting a better rear seat experience and added equipment. On the inside, the front seats are now smaller, making for a better view ahead for rear seat passengers. It also gets more sound insulation to improve cabin experience. New equipment comes in the form of new digital displays for the dials which change colour as one toggles between the different driving modes. 21. Nissan Micra facelift spotted

Spotted this Nissan Micra face-lift yesterday in Pune. Pic taken from mobile device, at night. So not clear, but managed to get a record shot.
  22. The BMW 5 Series F10 is heading for a facelift if this spy pic is to be believed which has been spotted cold weather testing in the Arctic circle. This comes at a time when Mercedes has also given a facelift to its E Class. External wise, the bumpers are more heavily structured and the lamp graphics revised, but the existing bodywork is largely untouched. Changes are mainly to the bumpers, headlamps and tail lamps. Inside, BMW plans to provide the 5-series with the latest version of its iDrive multimedia system and a configurable instrument display. On the engine front, the twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine in the 535i is set to gain an added 14bhp, lifting its reserves to 316bhp in the new 540i model. The twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine in the 550i is also expected to get added firepower. Insiders at BMW have already confirmed a 43bhp increase to 444bhp. Note that this info is for engine options in the international market only. The facelift 5 Series will be publicly unveiled at one of the upcoming Motor Shows and is expected to come to India in mid 2013. We will only know of any engine upgrades at the time of launch Source: http://auto.163.com/
  23. The facelift Nissan Micra has been caught undisguised during a commercial shoot in Thailand. The changes are quite subtle and includes a nosejob with redesigned headlamps, grille, bumper and hood. The car's profile remains intact, while at the rear end, the Micra appears to gain a re-sculptured bumper and fresh tail lamp graphics. I personally like this face lift over the model that is currently running on Indian shores. Probably there is a possibility that it might come to India soon. Here are the pictures sourced from carscoops.com and pics coutesy pulsarclub.com.
  24. What you are seeing in this pics is the new facelifted Skoda Superb, which is expected to land on indian shores by end of this year! The car with light camouflaged were caught testing in europe! After Octavia & Rapid, It is now the Skoda Superb’s turn to get the new family face & it's going to serve in both saloon and estate body styles! Externally, it appears that the lightly camouflaged test car features a new and wider waterfall-style grille (it's shown clearly in 2nd pic!) along with mildly revised headlamp and bumper designs at the front, and a different styling for the rear bumper and possibly, new tail lamp clusters as Skoda engineers covered the lights with faux decals. To talk about the interiors, one of the component maker has said that it is expected to remain the same except for new audio system, instrument panel and other electronic gadgetry that will be borrowed from the new Skoda Octavia. While powertrain options are expected to continue with some minor tweaks, for European countries a new variant which offers the 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine with 4×4 system and DSG gearbox will be offered. The current Superb offers 4×4 system with the 2.0 litre TDI but it is available only with manual transmission. Finally, Skoda is getting ready to lock it's horns with it's german rivals, will it succeed in retaining it's success story? Do share your views about it!
