  1. Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the Gypsy in India, and it has no plans to launch the Jimny right now as a replacement. The confirmation of the Jimny not coming to India comes from Maruti Suzuki’s senior director of engineering, CV Raman. In a recent interaction with V3Cars, Raman clarified that Maruti Suzuki has no plans to introduce the Jimny, or any of its derivative, in India in 2019. Source - V3Cars Insider sources, however, maintain that Jimny might come to India in the future, but it’s still at least a couple of years away. So we expect the Jimny to be introduced in India not before 2021.
