New Honda Jazz spotted in India; Now Launched

Recommended Posts

These are the prices of City petrol/diesel Vx models.

VX MT Petrol : Rs. 1,037,000

VXMT Diesel : Rs. 1,156,500

So the difference is certainly more than 3 lacs, depends on the variant to variant comparison though.

Though the prices of Jazz is certainly better than what Honda managed last time with it but I somehow feel it's still a bit over priced w.r.t i20 (specially diesel since i20 diesel is superior to Jazz's one).

Don't just compare the variants on alphabetical terms. There is specification difference between City & Jazz to justify the premium, as City VX(P&D) gets Electric Sunroof, Leather upholstery & Push-button start-stop feature whereas all these are absent in top-end Jazz VX.

BTW, IMHO Honda 1.5 i-DTEC engine is superior than Hyundai 1.4 Diesel engine powering i20 CRDi atleast in Reliability & fuel-efficiency terms. Comparing overall package I think it will be too early to comment on which is best out of either of these two.

Well it depends on an individual, for me Hyundai diesel is far for refined than noisy Honda diesel engine.

So the Jazz Cross has been dubbed the WR-V. Co-incidentally pics  of the producition car leaked simultaneously in India and in South America. I have a feeling this will dethrone the i20 Active, the only cross-hatch that actually seen on the roads as compared to other cross-hatches.

Let the pics do the talking >>

So this is the facelifted Honda Fit (Jazz in India) that will go on sale in China next month... looks quite similar to the US model. Honda's expected to being the Jazz facelift to India sometime in mid-2018

Not long ago Honda was known for cutting edge technology & designs. Jazz was one of its models in which it showcased latest developments. The one above just looks like streamlining the previous model. May not work well!

Honda has started testing the next-gen Jazz. The few details that have emerged online claim that the new Jazz will be 3,990mm in length, which means it will qualify for the excise benefits just like the current model. Honda will, however, increase the car’s width in order to facilitate more room in the cabin and boot.

Under the hood, there are talks of Honda introducing a two-motor hybrid setup, similar to the one in the latest-gen Accord. There will also be conventional engines on offer along with an inclusion of the 1.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder motor that does duty in the Civic hatchback sold internationally. You can find more info here: https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/next-gen-honda-jazz-to-be-unveiled-in-late-2019-409862

Found some pretty neat renderings based on the latest spy pics, showing what the new Jazz could look like:
