Pics: Mystery Suzuki prototype spied. EDIT: Its the YRA hatch

Recommended Posts

A Suzuki hatch prototype has been spied testing. From the pics it clearly looks one size up on the Swift. Should Maruti bring this to India and position it above the Swift? What do you think would be the expected price?

Here are the pics

This might be Suzuki S-Cross which will get launched in India in 2015.

This will be > 4m in length and will compete with compact SUVs like Duster, Terrano etc. So expect pricing of top end variant to be around 11-12 lacs.

There will be another compact SUV (expected launch 2016) from Maruti, which will be < 4m in length and will be based on concept shown in 2014 Indian auto expo (XA Alpha). This will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport.

rear is cool but the front seems like a swift modified by some local car decor ...but then is a maruti suzuki , we can't expect an overall good design :D .. also , this one looks longer than 4 m ... India would get a stripped version

Had this been the same as show in the White pic above...this would have been a stunner...but the uncovered pics shared here in thsi thread in dark shades good too.

Seems like Suzuki is trying to cut cut the cost down hence using older exterior elements from more in demand Swift.

Seems to be another winner from Maruti Suzuki in India or from Suzuki globally. A unique design in itself not a copy of anything & thankfully Suzuki moved from Swift-like buldging designs.

Speaking a bit about it its Front end though looks simple, Rear looks Super gorgeous with a butt like design once a hit in 2000 crop of cars, still living to its beauty. Together with oval taillamps, just reminding of Palio & Merc A-class, thanks its not a copy of it.

Going by the size of car & segment standards, i expect this car to sport 90PS version of Fiat Multijet diesel engine.

– Multiple airbags (atleast for Europe)

– Multi-functional steering wheel

– Keyless entry, push start and stop

– Reverse parking sensor

– Cruise Control

– Climate control

– Alloy wheels

Looks large in size.

Somehow looks quite similar to Chevrolet SRV which was launched in India quite sometime back.

SRV was ahead of it's time.

This being Maruti might sell well. Hopefully Maruti will provide better engine options for it.
