Front design vastly improved but the rear seems it has been stretched too far and looks a little ugly. Hopes it comes with a lot more godies andvwith same price tag .

Ecosporr beware . :-)

Next-gen Renault Duster to be unveiled at Frankfurt

Next-gen model expected to carry forward on the existing platform; a seven-seater version also likely.

As per reports circulating online, Renault is expected to reveal the next-generation of its Duster SUV at the Frankfurt motor show 2017 in the latter half of the year.

The reports, suggest that the next-gen SUV will be underpinned by an updated version of the current B0 platform in a bid to keep costs in check though the body panels and cabin are expected to get a major overhaul with styling likely to follow suit of other new and updated Dacia models revealed in recent months – the Duster is sold under the Dacia brand in European markets.

There are also rumours abound that the next-gen Duster could also get a larger seven-seater iteration based on a different platform as compared to the standard SUV.

Under the hood, the Duster is expected to carry forward using its existing powertrains in international markets with the engines being updated to conform to the more stringent Euro IV emission norms coming into effect internationally later this year.

The all-new model is expected to launch in international markets as early as early 2018 badged as a Dacia model in European markets

In India, Renault updated the Duster last year with a few cosmetic updates and added equipment to breath a fresh lease of life into its ageing SUV. This year, the automaker is looking to expand on its SUV offerings with the launch of the all-new Kaptur in the second half of the year.

Found these renderings of the next-gen Duster... it's set to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

PS: The green car in the pics is the current-gen Dacia Duster sold in international markets, the brown one is the rendering

Dacia has revealed this Duster ambulance... the caterpillar tracks definitely make it well-equipped to take on rough terrain. What do you think?
