cars4life 24 Report post Posted November 10, 2016 The soon to launch new gen Hyundai Tuscon has been spotted at a dealership yard prior to its launch. The source says that the Hyundai Tucson will be sold in three variants: G, GL and GLS. Some of the features in the top-end GLS include power-operated tailgate, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, hill descent control, electronic parking brake with auto hold, front parking sensors, and 18 inch Nexxen alloy wheels. Importantly, it comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6-speaker sound system and six airbags. The Tucson will be available in both petrol and diesel variants at launch. The petrol variant is powered by the Elantra’s 2.0L four cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 152 PS, and the diesel variant packs a 2.0L CRDi four-cylinder diesel engine producing 184 PS. Both petrol and diesel variants of Tucson ‘G’ will come equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while GL and GLS feature a 6-speed torque converter automatic. sachins 50 Report post Posted November 10, 2016 Though Tuscon is a pretty good car (going by the reviews) on it's own. But pricing it will be difficult for Hyundai, considering Creta and Elantra. Creta already sits between entry level compact SUVs like EcoSport/Brezza and full 7 seater like XUV Also, it doesn't seem to offer too much over Creta which already is a runaway success. VET5 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2018 Some new images of the facelifted Tucson. Powertrain options in Europe include a new 1.6-litre CRDi diesel (available with two output options - 115hp and 136hp), 1.6-liter GDi and T-GDi petrol units. The Premium trim level gets a 2.0-liter CRDi, with a 48v mild hybrid system (pictured below). However, as reported by Autocar India HERE, we can expect the India-spec car to continue with the current engine options - the 155hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine and the 185hp, 2.0-litre diesel motor.
