All-new Maruti Ertiga launched

Recommended Posts

We already know that as part of their partnership Maruti Suzuki will supply the Baleno and Vitara Brezza to Toyota, while Toyota will produce the Corolla for Maruti. But what about the new Ertiga? This is what a Toyota-badged Ertiga could look like... What are your thoughts?

Suzuki's brought a a concept based on the new Ertiga to the 2018 GIIAS in Jakarta. The Ertiga Sport concept gets custom brown paint, large wheels with low-profile tyres and an all around body kit that includes add-ons to the front and rear bumpers and side skirts. It also gets a custom Suzuki mesh grille and darkened headlamps. Additionally, the vehicle seems to sit a bit lower than the stock model, which means there could be some suspension tweaks as well.

The new Ertiga has been spotted testing in India once again ahead of its upcoming launch! This time the test mule can be seen with emissions testing equipment (perhaps for the new new 1.5 diesel?)

Looks like Maruti's introduced a minor 2019 update for the Ertiga - the ZXi+ and ZDi+ now get back alloy wheels. Think it's a welcome update?

Suzuki is readying a sportier variant of the popular Ertiga called the Ertiga GT which is set to debut in international markets later this month.

Cosmetic changes include a sportier body kit, subtle red accents, a unique grille, rear spoiler, all-black alloy wheels, and a 'GT' badge finished in red. The cabin reportedly will be all-black with only minor cosmetic tweaks.

Here are some of the first images of the sporty MPV.

Some more leaked photos have emerged, revealing the Ertiga GT's interior... these seem to be from an official brochure. What do you think of it?

Found some new pics of a sportier Ertiga, featuring an all-black interior. Not sure it's the GT since there are a few changes when compared to the car seen in the earlier spy pics. Could be a dealer-level kit maybe?

Suzuki has revealed the new Ertiga Sport! It comes with a sporty body kit - with silver highlights around the grille, fog lamps and chin spoiler, along with dual-tone alloy wheels, a rear bumper that’s been shaped like a diffuser and a larger rear spoiler. The interiors are dual-tone, with a faux-wood and grey plastic finish on the dashboard and door panels. The Ertiga Sport has the same features as the standard top-spec Ertiga in the Indonesian market, and comes with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine, which can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.

Came across these walkarounds giving a pretty good look at the special edition:

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ertiga with its new 95hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. The new diesel Ertiga is available in three variants – VDi, ZDi and ZDi+; prices are about Rs 29,000 more than the equivalent Ertiga 1.3.

The Ertiga 1.5 and Ertiga 1.3 (with the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre motor) variants will sell side-by-side at Maruti’s Arena dealerships, for now.
