Mahindra XUV300 NEW spy pics

Recommended Posts

The S201 SUV has been spied yet again! Received some new spy pics that offer a pretty up-close look at the interior.

Autocar India has reported that the SUV will come with a sunroof, a large touchscreen, cruise control and even features like dual-zone climate control system. It will likely also get projector headlamps and daytime running lamps, while top-spec S201s are expected to come with stylish 17-inch alloy wheels. For more info, you can head here:

Mahindra has been trying very hard to increase its share (given the fact how TATA made a comeback with Tiago, Nexon and now Harrier). But Mahindra still needs to analyse not to overstyle their cars. XUV 500 was a block buster and post that all other cars were either too blank (TUV) or too overstyled (KUV, Marazzo). Alturas is a great product but given the fact that Endeavour could not dent Fortuner sales, Alturas will be on discounts soon.

We finally have a name! Mahindra's new compact SUV will be called the XUV300, with a launch slated for Feb 2019.

The XUV300 shares its x100 platform with the SsangYong Tivoli which is sold internationally. It will come with segment-leading features such as dual-zone climate control, seven airbags, four disc brakes, a sunroof and a large touchscreen infotainment system. Range-topping variants of the new sub-four-metre SUV will sport HID headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail-lamps and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

While Mahindra is yet to reveal the exact specifications of the engines on offer with the XUV300, they have mentioned that a petrol and diesel motor will be available at launch and have best-in-class torque. However, there will be a sole 6-speed manual transmission at launch, with the automatic option coming in at a later date.

Looks like Mahindra will be offering the XUV300 with a number of chrome accessories (with chrome garnishes for the upper and lower front grilles, outside rearview mirrors, window sills, door handles, the lower portion of doors, and tail lights). Some of these accessories were recently displayed at a dealer showcase... Haven't seen some of these images before
