Its a beach exactly 380km from Mumbai .It half way to Goa and lies near Ratnagiri .Better than Goa due to less pollution and crowd .

Mostly climate is good and MTDC provides good accomodation (its the only good one) one can easily spend a weekend here .

The highway had many climbs so a car with good low end torque will be fun to drive .

For more info go to MTDC site

Excellent pictures rssh, I am reminded of the serene beaches and the typical Konkan architecture. These places are bereft of the usual swarm of tourists and are worth a visit. I had been in the Murud_Janjira- Alibag/Raigad stretch and never got bored ever, visiting the places.

Ganpatipule is a great destination. The beach is clean and the tourists are relatively less. I went there a few years back and thought it was already crowded but much better when compared to Goa.

Nice pictures.

Vehicles here easily cross 500k mark .My gypsy had no carpet and the seates were rusted and too much vibrating .Offff!!!
