Help needed to finalise the car

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I want a quick comparison between the two cars,

My main criterai is the boot size, Budget upto 4.5 lacs

I have shortlisted two cars which has the biggest boot size

INDIGO CS GLX ( costing around 4.2 lacs on road)

ZEN ESTILLO VXi ( costing approx 3.5 lacs on road )

I have assumed the price of music system to be 10K inclusive in the price stated above,

I initially wanted to go for SX4 ZXi or Dzire ZXi but in this economic turmoil, I dont plan to spend 6-7 lacs,

Please suggest in respect to the the Resale value /experience, your quick response would be appreciated.

I just dont like the look of the Estillo

I have my fingers crossed with the TATA.... My Indica is soon going to die on me i think...

Why dont you look around for the Getz, Santro..

(Anyways the Indigo and the Estillo are not new models as such)

What about the Accent Exec.. its super cool in your budget

Even the Dzire VDi will be only little expensive over your budget. Please check out all the other cars as well before deciding..

Indigo is expecting a facelift in March/ April. Dont go for the Estilo buddy. I think you could rather wait for Suzuki Ritz( Splash) in April. Kindly also mention if you have other criteria apart from boot space.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have waited enough for I 20 since Nov 2008, but although came up as nice package but out of my budget,

I cant wait anymore, so finalised these cars based on the boot size, and so that that the rear seat can accomodate 2 persons along with the car saet for my baby.

That was the only reason to switch from MARUTI to tata.

Please tell the negatives of TATA INDIGO

Hi Rohit, Tata Indigo is too dated for it's looks and fit & finish is not up to the mark. It is going to be replaced soon. Though Indigo CS is comparatively better built than previous Indigos, still it lacks appeal. The resale value of the car will be much lower. However if you are not much concerned abount resale, try GEtz. It has bigget boot in all the hatches. It's fit & finish, overall driveability and package is too good for the price it is offered. Go for 1.3 version. Other options are Accent. If you can stretch a little bit, you will have one th ebest sedans in the industry. Compared to Zen estilo, wagon-r, santro are much better product. All the best.

Indigo is expecting a facelift, based on Vista platform.

Estilo is like a dead car.

Try some other cars. Do kindly give your overall preferences for selecting a car. This will help us to give you some suggestions.

Hi rohit,

Yes sometimes it happens .. !

If you have freezed on these two vehicles finally and just need a comparision

Then GO for Indogo CS:

1. Three box sedan look

2. Biggr BOOT

3. Better Handling and stability

4. TDI or DICOR offers you great VFm and FE also.

5. Sturdy Vehicle

Where in Estilo:

1. Feminish look:good for College going girls

2. Small car and Lesser boot

3. Small tyres , shaky on Highways

4. Only petrol Version FE will be 14-15kmpl

Thnaks Bhal Chandra,

You are the first one who have actually liked the car although out of two,Well to be honest , i need a car immidiately and with a big boot,LAst year I made up plans to buy SX4 zxi, but now in this economic slowdown, I need the car as well as a car which has the big boot with less price so compared all of them, then shortlisted estillo at 3.5, One day I noticed Indigo in a taxi cab stand, and since last week has been thinking about it, took the test drive, wasnt that bad, although it wont have a very good resale value.but I guess at this stage its best to conserve the money as much u can.

Rohit,

Indigo CS Dicor on road comes @ 5 lacs or little lesster than that. If you Buy it it will prove as a great VFM,

SInce you need boot means you are going to travel on highways and for which Indigo CS Dicor is a great buy in your Budget.
