Pics: Suzuki S Cross concept revealed

Recommended Posts

Suzuki has revealed the first few images of the new S-Cross crossover concept.

This will in future form the base of the next-gen SX4 hatch, which is sold in international markets. It may also come to India later in a saloon form, just like the current car.

The S-Cross concept gets bold styling with LED headlamps and huge chrome wheels. It also gets LED DRLs in front. Rear styling looks a bit Audi-inspired, especially in the design of the tail lamps.

There are no details on engines yet. Suzuki will officially unveil this concept at the ongoing Paris Motor Show 2012.

This gets me thinking , what could be the replacement for the SX4

We all know SX4 is going downhill for a long time now , with 1Lakh discount on diesel it did not find many buyers

There has to be a product inching forward to replace the SX4 ...

Current SX4 will continue one more year for sure. Maruti must make it build to order and use that capacity for making more Swifts and Ertigas.

Current SX4 did get a facelift in China which made it look a bit more like the Kizashi, but no sign of that coming to India so far.

This sure is a replacement of the SX4 which is dying a slow death here.. I'd say Maruti is trying to keep it on pills (discounts) to just prolong its death in the Indian market. Even the diesel is not selling.

This would replace the SX4 hatch in the European markets and would get a sedan treatment in India. It'll make more sense to get this hatch as the Alpha and its sedan as an SX4 replacement...
