  1. With the markets opening in India, it seems like we may soon get big bikes on Indian roads. But then so many different sorts of bikes in so many different ccs are available. Sports bikes, super sports bikes, naked bikes, super motards, cafe racers, street fighters, cruisers etc in 250ccs, 400ccs, 600ccs, 1000ccs, even 1300cc and higher and so many models as well. So then- Which bikes are best suited for Indian roads? What prices are you ready to pay for a big bike?
  2. Hey guys. Whats the fastest you have ever ridden your bike and what was the bike? I have nudged 135 kmph on a modified RX 135.
  3. Dead end

A question that begs answering..... Whats your opinion guys? Will the advent of superbikes coming into India direct from the big manufacturers spell out a dead end for the superbike grey market that has thrived all these yrs in India? Or will these modern day smuggler types continue to survive, thanks to being able to offer bikes at so much cheaper cost........ without legal import duties paid, without papers, without service backup, without insurance, without spares back up, with proper trained mechanics to back up their bikes.
  4. Yamaha Motor is launching nex - gen bikes

YZF R1 + MT 01, both for 11 odd lakh on road. Yes it sounds like much, but then again theres so much to gain here, with the bikes being available through a completely legal chanel, with papers, INSURANCE, after sales, spares and even a hotline to Yamaha direct and only for these bike owners.
  5. Be a part of IBOTY fever

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Well, it seems like the site has now made an english version, as I just gave in my three votes in English. Thanks u Autocar
  6. I just read about the International bike of the year award in my latest Autocar India copy. Its great that Indians can take part in the awards this year. I just gave in my three votes. Go for it guys. Anyone can vote at the website- www.iboty.com
  7. I still think the Hunk must handle way better than the RTR. And then there is the other important bit, the RTR will not be able to provide the same mileage as a Hunk..... my friends brand new RTR gives him only 28kpl when he rides fast, and max 35kpl when he goes slowly.................. bad news!
  8. The Hunk is a great choice. I wouldnt think the RTR handles better. The Hunk with its superb CBZ lineage (which has always been acknowledged to have amongst the best handling of all Indian bikes) should surely offer way better handling than an RTR. Its got all the good stuff from the past CBZ's, and then some more add ons as well. Hunk all the way for me.
  9. unicorn or apache ??

I know its a little off topic, but how about getting HUNKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. want to buy a cruiser ... :-)

No choice. I agree with Autocar India which says the only cruiser to buy is the Avenger.
  11. THE LOW PROFILE SUZUKI ACCESS

What a poor scooter for a company like Suzuki to make. I expected a much better model from such a famnous Japanese champion. Also, look at the price of the Access. It is highway robbery......the Access gets a big
  12. Top 10 bikes

My list in no particular order- Honda CB 400 Super Dream Yamaha RX 100 Honda VFR 800 Honda CB 1300 Suzuki GSR 600 Kawasaki ZX 12R Suzuki Hayabusa Hero Honda CBZ Yamaha WR 450 Honda MTX 125
  13. New Bike..

I would go for the Hunk cause it is so good looking, with a fast engine and should still give decent mileage. But then again, if I was really feeling rich, theres nothing to beat the Pulsar 220 in India.
  14. Yamaha bikes

Hello all. I just saw onb tv about thge big yamaha bikes coming to us soon. Does anyone know how much they will cost, and also if these will be as good as other make big bike like Suzuki and Honda? Wish Autocar will carry a feature on the bog bikes soon
  15. Best looking 100-110cc Bike in India till date?

Yes.... I agree, the RX was a super looker. And so was the KB 100.
  16. unicorn or apache ??

Isnt Yamaha working on a new over 160 cc model as well? And Suzuki............
  17. i have a doubt guys...

Leave it standard would be my vote.... bike silencers work best as they come from factory with company engineering taking all aspects into consideration. Sorry, this is only my own humble opinion.
  18. Caliber Suggesstions Wanted !!!

Leave it standard yaaar. I agree with Praful who seems to really know a lot on bikes..... I hope Praful helps me out when I need it and have save up enough to buy my next bike.
  19. unicorn or apache ??

Methinks you should go for the Unicorn if you want smooth engine and can live without features. But then agaihn, the new RTR is really sporty and packed with innovative new stuff. So what if it gives slightly lower mileage, as an enthusiast who cares about mileage when there is so much power at hand
  20. help me guys

Go for the Hunk man..... its a Hero Honda, its new, and it looks make me drool. I would buy the Hunk in your place.
  21. Best ever Indian bike?

Which Indian bike is the best ever made overall? Is it the old Bobby? Yezdi Roadking? Yamaha RD 350? Honda CD 100 ? TVS Suzuki KB 125 or RX 100?
  22. I think that all the bike importers today bringing in bikes to India are all cheating the customers, no papers, no customs paid, no proper registraition, no insurance and sometimes also old redone bikes sold as new. Does anyone else know more? Who si the right dealer selling bikes in india all legal, all clean? Who is the best?
  23. PULSAR 300????

Fake, with clever and eye catching styling made in photoshop!
  24. need your help in choosing bike

Go for the Unicorn or then possibly even a CBZxtreme both which you will feel comfortable riding. Avoid the RTR for sure as this is a sports bike that has seating position very uncomfortable for tall people like you. The Pulsar is better than RTR but still not as comfortable for a tall guy as the first two. Im over six as well, and have taken a test ride on all these bikes. Best of all, send an email to aaa@autocarindia.com. I once had problems and they helped me very nicely regarding that. Bye bye
  25. RTR Fi When?!

Its there in the last issue of Autocar, and I think they said coming soon also.
