  1. Hello, I have been driving a i10 for the last 3 1/2 yrs and had a hatch before that for 3 yrs as well. Now I guess its time for me to take the leap, move to a SUV and this time not selling the current hatch for small errands and city use. Apart from driving a Innova a few hundred kms on several trips, I have no experience of driving a hatch and so when i decided to buy one for our small family I though it was best to ask the experts for advise. My budget is in the range of 22-25L and I am looking for something with good interiors, a decent list of gadgets and features. I wont be off roading, so I am not looking for a monster, but good/large interiors would be of help. I wont be loading 7 people always when we travel, but a good 3rd row will help for extra space and stuff to carry. I would like to buy in around Mar/April '13 on one of the festive ocassions. No other stringent requirements, so please help me decide what options should i start looking at, cos the list of available SUVs in the market is just confusing the hell out of me. I am keen to hear from one and all..and if you also went through a shortlisting & decision cycle to shortlist your SUV, then please share that, so it may b just help me align my thoughts as well. I appreciate the help ..all fellow car enthusiasts and experts. Ash

  7. I am planning to go for Bi-Xenons for my i10. H4 Type. I am told that you don't need any Fog Lamps after that I was advised the foll: Highway Driving: 4300 K (OEM yellow light) 35W is good and 55 W will give 20% more light. For more City Driving: 6000K (White Light) also has 35W and 55W. 35W- 10,000 with fitting in Mumbai and 1 Yr warranty (Delhi price is 8,500) 55W 13,500 with fitting in Mumbai and 1 Yr warranty I am keen for a 4300K as I prefer the yellow tinge light and need the longer throw that this has over the 6000K. Bu tI need a 55W light.. PLEASE ADVISE

  10. Hello All, After a long gap..and sicne I dont see any conclusion to this discussion here is my question.. Can you please advise what HID/Xenon Kit can I install in my i10. Pls suggest name of the kit. Does i10 have the facility to have halogens along with the Xenons? Do I need fog lamps once I get the HID installed? I also came across this link through carwale.com which talks about Bi-Xenons. "Earlier versions of Xenon lights could not be used for flashing while overtaking. HID lights they take time to get to full brightness. To eliminate this problem the newer bulbs come with integrated Halogens in the same HID bulbs. These can be flashed while overtaking. Hence the Name Bi-Xenons." Has installed these?? AshAshTheDash2009-11-18 01:59:10

  16. With this kind of pricing. Faboia an i20 have nothing to worry about.. But I also read that Honda is re-looking at the Jazz pricing "Honda is ready to bring its small car Jazz to India. The new small car from Honda Siel Cars India will be a premium hatchback model and the expected price of the same is above Rs. 5.5 lakh to 7 lakh. However, the R&D team at Honda is busy to indigenize and localize the car to bring down its cost. It expects to bring down the price to Rs. 4.5 lakh. Honda R&D team of 25 members will be headed by a senior official from Japan and will also include people from purchase and manufacturing divisions. Honda is aiming at bigger market share in India and also aims to boost its sales figures by introducing a small car in the country. Honda Jazz is the only small car in Honda

  22. Sounds a nd looks good on paper. Hope MS dont mess up this initial brouhaha by giving us cheap plastics nad usual cost cutting oriented stuff. Lot of goodies wven in the SX4 were tackier and reduced the overall image of the car... I see serious competition to the i10, but then i still feelthe build quality inthe i10 will still bring people to it even after Ritz launches.. Look forward to the launch..
  23. Hey Ani, Can you provide more Gyan on the Secure Number Plates?? Can we anyone like us take initiative and get it done ASAP even before the RTO strats enforcing it? As for the Glass Etching, I am sure its actually Laser work done. For Toyota cars its mandatory...they charge you 250 bucks when you buy he new car. I will find out more and provide infor once I get it.
