  1. Thanks guys for such a quick reply. After using 145/80 r13 for around a year and a half, I am not happy with it's performance, they feel like feathers and just for the sake of extra 1 to 3km on mileage, I can't sacrifice safety. The odo shows 17k odd kms, the exchange deal is fair as rims are great. But I want to improve the look of my bland Waggy so going for alloys. I can't go for 175 as they are increasing the ground clearance by a good margin and it may foul with fenders when five passengers would be aboard. 155/70 r 13 would lower the already low ground clearance so that is too out of my list, choice is between 155 (any aspect ratio) r 14 or as I said 165/70 r13 which wont even alter single mm of clearance as the current ones with equivalent thickness of sidewalls, hey HIL thanks for your valuable input, is 165/70 r13 available in yoko, I thought yoko makes only fat tyres.
  2. My Wagon R 2012 CNG Lxi is a true workhorse but the OEM tyres at 145/80 r13 are too thin, can I upgrade to Apollo 165/70 r13? I want durable tyres at 165mm only, also upgrading to Neo Urban alloys 13 inch. Getting 1000 rupee exchange per tyre with rims.
  3. As we all know the autoexpo is arriving just around the corner, most of the manufacturers are in a rush to display their ideology and future strategies via concept. Admist this, Toyota who gearing up for very vital launches such as all new Corolla, but the eyes would be set on the very much keenly anticipated Toyota Etios based compact SUV to fight out its competitors especially the Ecosport. We all know that Toyota is going to display the Etios Cross here in the expo instead of the real compact SUV for which we will have to wait for a while so here is a glimpse of how the Etios based SUV would shape up. 6. Guys I have posted these photoshop pics, please help me choose, the Alto K10 steering is good to hold and has same diameter but colour is offset while second gen WagonR steering looks the part but is bigger in size and not available off the shelf like Alto K10 one. Standard Interior Alto K10 Steering Second Gen WagonR Steering. I am also planning to replace the crap JVC unit with a good Doubld Din unit, any suggestions there then please pour in.
  7. You are very right rssh. Just visited Naveent Maruti Thane, they aint got Versa seats, they are ready to order it but the seats are made for 7 seater Versa so the third seat of the middle row would be collapsible. Thanks a lot Sstar, the dealer quoted me 7500 for one touch power windows with fitting.
  8. Thanks rssh a lot, by the way the steering wheel of non-blue eye wagonr is same as eeco which is two spoke? Also can headrests be fitted into the rear bench? We searched a lot of 5str Versa seats but there are hardly any examples here.
  9. Doc, what about the power windows in the front? Is it advisible to salvage one from Versa or new power window assembly is available in the market for Eeco?

  11. Sorry guys for repeated posts, my browser has gone kaput, by the way Eeco is quite refined in comparision with petrol powered cars in Eeco's price range.
  12. Thanks doc, regarding tyres, I was also thinking about 175/70 R13, but they are quite unavailable. And also can the rear seats be changed with better ones with headrest?

Dear ACI Gurus, my brother has just recently bought Maruti Eeco 5seater AC/HTR CNG model and now is looking forward to the following modifications in his ride, please answer that are this mods posible or not? 1)First of all we want to replace the pathetic seats with better and comfy one which will have headrests. 2)Then we are replacing the puny 155/80T R13 tyres with 185/60 R14 tyres and also buying two pairs of alloys of 14inch. 3)There is a housing for fog lamp in bumper, is it possible to fit in the fogs their? 4)Then the stering is patethic too, we are thinking to replace it Alto K10 one, a guy in Kolkata has done it with his Eeco. Is it advicible? The link http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/ownership-reviews/7035-maruti-eeco-my-familys-car-buying-ownership-review-4.html 5)Lastly we want to fit power windows in front and also central or remote locking whichever possible. Please pour in your much needed replies.
  17. After Amaze tasting success with the new diesel heart. Lets talk about its reliability, though enough time has not elapsed but still is any one facing problems with all new engine?
  18. It may be Datsun's other offering alongside and above K2 hatchback which is based on old gen Micra. Or it may be regular component testing for Nissan to gruel Pixo in horrible Indian coditions. One thing is for sure, it aint A Star facelift as MSIL has long back dumped all plans of revising Estilo and A Star range being bound to be phased out soon.
  19. Close your eyes and go for Shine 125 or Yuga 110. They have great realiability and would surely remain solid even after 15 years, atleast 10 years for sure. Avoid Twister as it is an urban yuppie rather the village goat.

  21. The hatchback stands true to Ecosport body shell sans huge ground clearance and third window.
  22. Whatever the sound is, in our hearts deep down we know there is a diesel powerplant spoiling the dynamics of the latest Maserati. I just cant understand why costly luxo cars need economy of diesel? If you cant fill your £100 grand car with petrol and then just buzz off.
  23. I too agree with F30, the front is too much tipping forward. Atleast it should look like a jacked up A Class instead it end ups with a stance of Volvo V40 CC.
  24. Even if it is safer than our home grown MPVs and MUVs, we all know how Renault India is going price Lodgy for a huge premium just as they did it with Duster, so it doesnt make sense to buy Lodgy when safer and cheaper alternatives like Ertiga, Evalia and even Enjoy are on sale.
  25. This Dacia Renault Lodgy has scored worst points for safety for the year 2012, still Renault wont hesitate bringing it here. What a shame it is!
