  1. I have owned Mahindra Scorpio and Innova thereafter. I was very much satisfied with these two. But when I needed a Upgradation, I bought a Ford Endeavour last year, owing it is  nothing less than a nightmare. The vehicle is very very bumpy, has very unsafe braking, high cost of maintence and worst than all service response of Ford. Any  now I know I have to part with atleast 5 L when I will sell it. That a very small amount for a big mistake I have made by buying a FORD. I have made up my mind for that.

I have a average running of 5000 km/month and want a replacement upto 20 lakhs preferable Diesel.

    Which SUV I should buy.

  2. Bornfree, Endy is not atall a SUV, if only high ground clearence is an essence of SUV then it is. Endy, is worse on bad roads, it goes out of control if you are at more than 20kmh on even a slightly rough road.

And endy is not a budget SUV, if you call it a budget SUV then where will you place Tata Safari, Scorpio or Bolero

  3. All the suffering car owners.

We should, through this forum and through ACI should fight, why the Indian market is offered outdated models. Ford Endeavour is no where visible on Ford's International website. There should be minimum feature specifications for a car in Luxury Segments like Automatic Climate Controls etc.

Ford is offering it's top of the line SUV expedition for US$35000 why we are offered a vehicle, which is not even a proper SUV for same price.

    JAGO GRAHAK JAGO

  4. I must congratulate all for being active forum member.

well said I have would have tested the vehicle before buying. In fact I did, the good driving of vehicle impressed me.

The most disappinting experience for me is after sale response of the FORD and its dealer. The defects I am telling them, they have even failed to observe them or not accepting. I have spend hell of amount on purchase of vehicle, what I am getting in 15L dosen't worth.

I own a Innova also. when I compare it with Innove they say we cannot compare Endy with Innova, because they call it a MUV not SUV, perhaps ford understand that Innova is Far better buy.

Infact if I compare the Innova is much much better SUV than Endy. On my Ist tyre change I replaced Innova tyres with all terrain Scorpio tyres, that really converted it into a SUV with better ground clearence and better fuel economy.

Infact Innova has a far better suspension and ride quality even on roughest of Roads.

Doing 140000 kms my Innova's suspension is just perfect with only one front shoker change. After sale service of TOYOTA is excellant.

So every one beware of FORD.

  5. Brake pads costs around 3500 per set. The very first paid servive at 30000 costed around 6500 to me.

Other problems I face are -

Sitting is very low and rear seat can house only 2. The 3rd row is meant for children upto 10 years only or pets of course.

Suspension besides being rough is too noisy on bumps.

On rough road you have to drive very slow other wise its too bumpy and difficult to manover.

The most horrible part of driving is in rains. As the front trye goes in any water filled pothole the car spits on itself, the water comes on windscreen making driver absolutely blind and you have to apply sudden brakes.

The differncial has a nosie like it use to be there in Premier Padmini (Fiat), in new age car I have seen it in Endeavour only.

  6. Ride is one major problem. The car has other problems too like very frequent wear of Brakes- They suggest brake pad change at every 20000 kms and brake disc change at every 30000kms. Engine and pickup of vehicle is good and Brakes are not responsive to take on the momentum generated by kind of  heavy beast like endy.

  7. Before deciding just remember

    FORD, FIAT, GM, TATA

inka quality se nahi hai koi nata

    customer satisfection inko nahi ata

inki car kharido jaise pada gal par chata

I have owned car from all these Their cars are high on maintenece low on quality and very low on resale.

Trust on Maruti, Hyndai, Toyata and Honda

  8. Thanks Sudeep, for taking concern. When I complained to Ford India their RSM at Delhi Mr. Navneet very proudly quoted that if our vehicle is not upto mark why Auto Magzines are quoting it positively. Therefore I want Auto car to make a road test again and emphasisie on the points I have noticed.

  9. I bought a New Ford Endeavour and very much dissatisfied by its performance. The Differential of vehicle has a humming sound when the accelerator pedal is released in excess of 100kmph.

The vehicle is very bumpy even on smooth roads. Ford says Good Road, Bad Road Any road No Road I say the vehicle is not good for any road.

The car spits on it - when any of front wheel goes in water filled pothole the water comes on windscreen affecting drivers visibility.

These are my observations and Ford is not agreeing to it. I would like to know If any body else has experienced.

  10. In sub 5.00 lakh segment Diesel Cars are costlier by atleast 50K with their petrol countrpart. That means Paying extra installment of Rs. 2000.00 per month. That nullifies the economy if you travel less than 5000 kms per month. I have owned many diesel vehicle and must advice you that they are more noisy and high on maintenence. Infact Hyndai Accent CRDI was a vehicle with petrol like performance and maintenence, unfortunatly it has been discontinued.
