The DC Avanti, was spotted testing near Satara, Maharashtra
DC Design has powered the Avanti with an EcoBoost four-cylinder 2.0-litre DOHC engine sourced from Ford. This motor, that features direct injection, produces 245bhp of power and 366Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-peed manual transmission. The current mill is Euro 5 compliant which can be upgraded to the upcoming Euro 6 norms enabling the company to consider it for the export market as well.
The carmaker had announced that they will commence with the production of the car, soon, at their manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The initial models will be built at their workshop in Pune. The car is expected to launch this year and will be priced at around Rs 25-30 lakh.
