  1. Spare parts are main source of income for Car manufacturers and they insist for mandatory change of spares parts in regular intervals for avoiding breakdown maintenance and avoid to be in receiving end in case of accidents. e.g Porsche recommend mandatory Tyre change for its cars after 20K KMs where we are running our Marutis more than 50K Kms.
  2. End of the Test Drive and Existing owners feed backs are most important when you buy a car. Here i20 is a test & Tried Premium Hatchback and Nexon is a new entrant in Compact SUV .Nexon impressed with its styling, Interiors and powerful engine compare to competitors. In you take history of TATA Passenger cars they used to improve the quality of cars in Gen 2 & 3 after getting feedback about the Gen 1 car. The new Cars like Tigor,Nexon and Tiago are near to perfection which may need only minor correction in Gen-2 Cars. Still i should say Tata need to work on its Engines & Transmissions which are not so great compare to its international competitors.
  3. Spotted Kia Optima (Made in Korea) at Cybercity,Gurugram in early February. Even though at present Kia committed to launch only New Sportage ( SP Concept) Kia should consider to bring Rio Hatch Back and Optima to India. Kia Optima:- In India Kia Optima has introduced in the year 2000 and the outgoing car is 6th Generation. Kia Optima is positioned in 4.5M + Segment where in India Toyota Innova Crysta is a disputed king and selling 7K-8K/Month.Toyota holding 60 % of Market in this segment and nearest competitor is Mahindra with 20 % Market share credit goes to XUV 5oo. The Global model of Kia Optima coming with 1.6L,2.0L & 2.4L.Transmission options are 6 Auto Speed and 7 Speed Auto Dual Clutch. Kia Optima have length of 4850 mm,Width 1860 mm, Height 1470 mm and Wheel Base of 2805 mm. The Car spotted in Gurugram is 2.0 L 6 Speed Auto Transmission GLS Model which have amazing build quality and finest interiors compare to its sibling Hyundai Elantra which have just 3 % Market share in 4.5M + Passenger car Segment. In fact the the Market share of Sedans in this Segment has reduced 27 % in 2011 to mere 8 % in 2017. Other side MUV share has increased from 44 % to 55 % and SUV Share has increased from 24 % to 37 % . In case Kia have plan to introduce Optima in Indian Market they should bring the Hybrid variant after Govt introduce tax exemptions for pure Hybrid cars. At this moment the Skoda Octavia is Sedan king in 4.5+M Segment and they are able to sell only 225/Month. Even in Globally Kia Optima sales has come down in 2017 compare to 2016. End of the Kia Cars are superior in quality and it can impress Indian buyers if they price it aggressively.
  4. Even though Ritz & Swift were identical in specification other than Body shape ,Ritz Fail to find customers like its siblings bcos of its Rear Design . Maruti Suzuki has done the same mistake with IGNIS Design. Otherwise there is no other reason why the feature rich IGNIS could not breach 5K mark. Remember Ritz breached 8k mark within couple of month after launch and just one year before discontinuation it started selling 3.5 K to 4.5 K which was a huge betterment compare to its Average sale of 1.5K to 2.5K monthly sale from 2009-2016. I think Maruti need to work on the rear styling of IGNIS to improve its sales.
  5. IGNIS failed to impress Indian car buyers for Maruti anything selling less than 10,000/Month is not so successful model that is also less than one year after Launch. Definitely Car buyers will go for New Swift and not hesitate to spend 30K more to own the Most successful Hatch Back of India. Maruti has played well while deciding features of New Swift. Keeping Baleno Delta and Swift VXi/VDi may not work out since many feature of Baleno Delta Variant you will get it only in Zxi/ZDi eg: 185/65 R15 Tyres/Rear Defogger/Rear wiper & Washer/Automatic Climate control/Adjustable Rear Seat Head Rest/60:40 Rear Split Rear Seat/Rear Parking Sensors etc. The person choosing Baleno Delta over Swift ZXi effectively missing only Alloy Wheels, Front Fog Lamps,Push Button Start and Two front Tweeters. In this scenario Baleno is cheaper than Swift by 50K. Now buyers have to decide based on the Body shape of the car .Both cars are Winners and Swift may get upper edge since it is B segment leader from Day one. Baleno will face tough competition from Refreshed i20 which is cheaper compare to predecessor.
  6. Toyota Yaris is a good choice for challenging Segment leader Honda City and runner up Ciaz. Verna lost charm once City Diesel came to market. The Recent Audi kind of looks not helped Verna to regain the crown as Diesel Sedan segment leader. Toyota should bring Yaris immeidately to India to replace non exciting Ethios.
  7. No Doubt Ford Endeavour and VW Tiguan has more features than Toyota Fortuner. End of the day New Toyota Fortuner came with best of the segment looks by keeping King of the road feeling which is USP of Fortuner in India. In December 2017 Fortuner found 1591 new customers, Endeavour 326 and Tiguan 50 Nos. Car companies need to do proper market survey before launching their Global models in India.
  8. This test car is going rounds for quite long time. M&M is going to introduce it as competitor to Innova Crysta. We must watch and see how the market will react since Toyota successfully given SUV kind look to Innova Crysta which was lacking in previous Innova Models. Indians Like SUVs and it may not go well if Mahindra try to give Van kind of looks.
  9. As you said S-Cross is more spacious and Maruti's After sale support is fabulous across India. Compare to Other siblings like Brezza and Ciaz it is not selling much only because of its Van kind of looks. With recent facelift Maruti has made it attractive from the front side and they could have done something to enhance the side profile and rear looks.
  10. Noticed New Face Lifted Ciaz is going for Test Drive in Gurugram. Hope to see refreshed Ciaz to get back to Segment Leader position with new updates.
  11. As advised by Dr_nishu i did not upsize tyres and still driving with Stock 185/65 MRF tyres. One must careful about the Tyre pressure while filling the Air. The Attendants at Petrol Pumps have tendency to fill Mixed Air/Nitrogen @ 33 PSI .For Baleno the recommended Pressure is 29 PSI. Couple of times i noticed that i have done un intentional wheel spins at Traffic signals and later on realized that it is due to Excessive Pressure. At Present tyres has done 25K and will change the tyres once it demand the replacement/50k.
  12. Nexon:- Futuristic design.TATA Always rectify the mistakes in first product and come up with complete product in Version-2. We yet to hear any complaint about Nexon but it is always wait for their second product because Tested and proven alternatives are available.Nexon have more powerful engine compare to competitors. Ecosport: We own 2014 Ford Ecosport and 2016 TUV 300. Ecosport is the most safest and comfortable car in this segment. The interior is really cramped and it lacks instruments and convenient features compare to competitors. W-RV: We own 2010 Jazz which as clocked nearly 1,40,000 kms. Still you never hear any rattle sound or it never demand any replacement of parts than Regular service and tyre change. Honda Steering, Gearbox and Clutch are superior compare to competitors and it is mileage champion in this segment. Vitara Brezza: Brezza is the all rounder in this segment. Its Range Rover Look, Mileage , Interiors and Maruti's proven After sales support making it own 75 % market share and rest all competitors sharing 25 % .Brezza has changed Maruti's Small car manufacturer Image and its 15K sale per month has taken Average cost /Car to anywhere near to 7.5L from 5L.My recommendation for a person looking for Compact Diesel SUV Will be Maruti Vitara Brezza Followed by W-RV,Ecosport and Nexon.
  13. Great car to own Sachin. Toyota has really sensed the feeling of Indian car owners and changed the van look of Innova and made it as SUV.With more power ,AMT Gear Box and more features like Hill start assist ,Innova become the dream car to own in India. Congrats once again and share the review.
  14. I booked Maruti Baleno Delta in first week of May 2016 and it seems i will get it in 1st or 2nd week of August 2016.I have taken the test drive of Alpha variant which is coming with 195/55 R16 tyres. The suspension is not working enough in low speeds especially on rough roads. We are able to feel each every shocks inside the cabin in lower speeds. Since Delta variant coming with 185/65 R15 tyres i am thinking to put 195/60 R15 or 195/65 R15. Would like to know the opinion of other Baleno owners who has done the up sizing for improving the ride quality of Baleno by changing the stock tyres. The mileage of the car will go down if we go 205/60 or 205/55 and even it may effect the life of Shock absorber. Please share your feed back /Expert advice.
  15. Finally Maruti came with a product which Indians looking for a decade. Vitara Brezza will find 10000 customers in a month and Maruti should come with AMT soon.Heard that Creta AMT have more than 1 year waiting period.A RS version of Brezza with a 1.6L 140 bhp engine will go well with youngsters.Present 1.3 L 90 BHP engines are good for a family car.Looking forward to own brezza soon.
  16. Well written comment
  17. Maruti has introduced another white elephant in a segment where people are looking for a SUV kind of looks.I wish they could have done this 20 years before to compete against Tata safari and this car may find buyers like Ministers ,bureaucrats etc.Maruti should introduce compact SUV with the same 1.6L Diesel engine it will make sense and find lot of young buyers.
  18. Cross breed of Ertiga and City.Maurti failed to become segment leader with Baleno and SX4 before and doubtful to reach the top spot with Ciaz. I would like to see they bring Magneti Auto transmission to Ciaz,Dzire,Swift,Ritz and Ertiga to improve their market share.
  19. Hyundai always trying to keep the freshness of cars by constant face lifts and minor modification before the models lose its charm. Recently my cousin booked Kia Rio in Malaysia and i wish Hyundai could bring the Kia brand to India for capturing B &C segment leadership from Maruti.
  20. Great Exteriors. Looking forward to see similar kind of modification in interior design too
  21. Still i feel a face lifted Gypsy with 1.3L MJD will find many takers in India.MSIL should price it between 5-8 L considering the competetion from Ecosports. It is hard to digest the way MSIL is not able to realize the importance of Gypsy in Indian Market and its potential to sell it with Diesel Engine.
  22. They should speed up the process of bringing compact SUV to India to continue their leadership in Indian market. A cross over of Swift to compete with Ecosport and a slightly bigger model to counter scorpio will make sense.
  23. Audi will continue their dominance in Luxuary car market with A3 and existing models
