Arjun_M got a reaction from Bofefrordum in Meilenwerk - supercar/vintage car rental at Stuttgart
Folks who've been to Stuttgart and some other German cities may have heard of the company/concept known as Meilenwerk. This is a museum for supercars, vintage cars and classic cars, but they may even be rented out for a brief period, and I guess some sales have been made here. I've seen cars from different eras in this place, from the 1930s, the 50s, the 80s, and the present age. This place even has a couple of airplanes. It started off as a hangar, but is now a museum of cars, a few planes, and also has a library and some super-expensive cafes. I've taken loads of photos here, on my Nokia N8, and keep uploading to this set on my Flickr page.

Of course, Autocar being involved will mean the forum will be biased towards one event. The Parx Autocar Supercar Parade. Exotic cars zipping across the streets (and I wonder if we'll see that renegade Ford Focus RS again) and the sea-link. In the other corner, we have that exhibition at BKC, which will also feature the Stunt Mania team GhostRyderz in four shows, and of course, another off-road track, but this is for free. The event, though, is not free. Which one will you choose? And who will go (or has gone) for both?

Arjun_M got a reaction from eressygloroub in Honda CRV or Suzuki Grand Vitara?
If this was a buying decision (for someone with loads of money to spend), which of these would be recommended? Both are expensive CBU petrol SUVs (unless the Grand Vitara is actually made in India), making them almost completely irrelevant here in the price-conscious, mileage-conscious market. I feel the Suzuki Grand Vitara has a slight edge being a more capable off-roader than the show-off CRV, which has had some sales because of the Honda brand. Honda has a few more safety features (anti-theft alarm, traction control). Two vehicles that make no sense here in our country today, but if the money was there to spend, which one would it be?

Arjun_M got a reaction from AnacHKartbatt in Do car companies pay media for favourable reviews?
This might get a few thinking, or even heated. I had a chat with representatives from NBS Motors, who were running a promo for the Mahindra Verito at a residential colony in Mumbai, and in this long chat, mentioned that ACI had tested the Duster alongside the Scorpio, then the XUV5OO, and come out a better car to drive by a long way. The salesman said that this must be paid. These salesmen were not the smartest, but it still got me thinking.
A similar "Autocar was paid" comment in response to a comparison of the Polo, Punto and i20 was brought up on that other forum, (guess) who often seem to think ACI is paid by the VW/Audi/Skoda group for favourable reviews. Likewise, Times Drive has its favourites, so does ZigWheels, Overdrive, Wheelocity and every other car/bike magazine or TV show. In fact, Times Drive or ZigWheels is likely to be a bunch of advertorials, given how everything on Times, paper or television, is actually paid for. Do you believe this actually happens across media? Who favours whom? And who is the more neutral, if not totally neutral?
