  1. You should definitely wait for the new version if you are a swift fan. The new swift will be better in all the departments i.e refinement, mileage, looks ( varies person to person ).
  2. Hello folks, its been quiet a while since my last post, got caught up in studies and then job. Well, came across this test mule testing in Chennai !
  3. Stated to be the replacement for Linea, The all new sedan Aegea has been caught without any disguise, and oh boy it looks like a typical Italian beauty !! Fiat fans, have fun
  4. Stated to be the replacement for Linea, The all new sedan Aegea has been caught without any disguise, and oh boy it looks like a typical Italian beauty !! Fiat fans, have fun
  5. Go for Jazz Diesel !!! You might want to wait a bit long...But I believe the quality of the car will be unlike any of its rivals.. Given a hatchback would be more than comfortable for 3 people !! And about structural safety , it bagged the safest car as per recent NCAP test ratings among hatchbacks.. Google it you can see...I am not sure about the score it achieved !!
  6. Honda Jazz fits your requirement in all possible ways...Nice peppy petrol engine ...huge boot space. And given that you have a budget of around 10 Lakhs, you can probably go for the high end model enjoying the benefit of all the goodies like Paddle shifters and many more !!! Sedan can be considered only if you need huge boot space. But since you have stated that your importance for boot space is moderate you can go for Honda jazz without any fuss !!
  7. Grand i10 (AMT Variant ) for your wife and Octavia ( No reasons for rejecting a skoda). But consider the cons of owing a Skoda as in after sales services and such, As such I have never experienced any issues myself but have heard a quiet a lot of frustrated owners. Among Sedans it should be Octavia/Jetta. Or if you are a fan of SUVs you can consider Terrano or the Scorpio !
  8. HI Me and my Dad were in a similar dielma when we were comparing between Swift ZDI 2011 and Sx4 Vdi ..We ended up with the swift ZDi for the following reaons 1-> ABS, EBD, Alloys , Factory fitted music system, Airbags . 2-> Primary difference is the interior space and the boot space, In fact we compromised in both the facets when we went in for Swift ZDI but we are immensely happy with the decision we took since, boot space is hardly a matter ( For our use ) 3-> Driving shouldn't be that much of a difference. 4->Considering the fun to drive quotient , a peppy hatchback ( Polo 1.5 TDI, Elite i20 ) is a lot of fin rather than a underpowered entry level sedan ( Etios , Sunny ) 5-> Look wise there shouldn't be any level of comparision between a Polo ( Solid Built ) / Elite i20( Trendy ) and a Etios ( skinny and blunt IMO )
  9. More than doubled ????OMG !! I knew Toyota was banking on the " Reliability Factor " and increased the prices, but never realized they have actually increased by 100%....I mean does it seriosuly differ from the competitors like the Aria, Xylo( Best IMO ), Ertiga for the personal and even the Mobilio ??? What I feel is people spending so much must actually come out of the shell and trust better cars , not just the brand !
  10. Yes, that seems to be the case...This is how reputed companies going after profits start losing their loyal customers Sincerely hope Honda pay heed to all the issues and better the product !
  11. Hi All Came across this thread in another Auto forum " Team Bhp ". Having read that , am curios to know if any of those issues are being faced by members over here as well?? Am shocked to a extent that a " Honda " car are facing these issues, primarily known for their quality. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian-car-scene/157091-honda-city-4th-gen-niggles-compilation-honda-cars-niggle-free-anymore.html
  12. Finally as we are getting used to the looks, I guess I started to even like the looks Thanks to the review by Renuka of AUTOCAR INDIA And apart from the looks, everything is new to this workhorse. Right from the chassis, suspension and the interiors are looking classy too !!
  13. Exactly !! We might perhaps fall in love with this design , after all it's a Scorpio !! Yeah, booking an SUV might be the first step towards purchasing an Vehicle online
  14. This is it..The all new Mahindra Scorpio 2014 !! I guess only loyal Scorpio lovers Might love the looks of this one.Seriously Mahindra could have done a better job in the looks department. What were they even thinking while designing the tail lamps cluster??? No question regarding the performance, it will be as solid as it was and even better ! Fingers crossed , have to wait for another week for the unveiling !!
  15. Hi I doubt If figo could be the safest car without AIRBAGS, In my opinion Any car without airbags unsafe... Coming to the question here...Punto should be the safest car given the high structural strength and the kerb weight !
  16. OMG I Loved this !! hope indian model also gets beefed up like this one :) Definitely a city/ verna killer if priced properly !!
  17. In India given the current condition of roads, Sparewheel anyday ! Sparewheel -> Neccesity Panoromic Sunroof -> Luxury ( We hardly get to enjoy the hot and humid atmosphere , not to mention the pollution from the Trucks )
  18. Swift should be a good option considering the tag of being called as a " Driver's car " and sure it is and no mention is required about the after sales and service network. Trust me , after sales and service is something vital in making a decision given the present scenario in India where people owning 20 - 30 lakhs cars as well face issue and have no where to go . I would suggest Swift for the following reasons 1 -> Fun to drive 2 -> Very low maintence 3 -> Service centres available everywhere, literally . If you consider features you might be inclined to the grand i10 or the i20 elite , but again in the giving budget bracket you would most probagbly be getting the same feature package in all the above mentioned cars. Just a thought , why not try a test drive of the Zest and make a decision !

    Killing KOLEOS

Similar was the case with the ford fiesta right...Sometimes designers mess it up !! waiting for the reviews on the facelifted i20
  20. Hi Reddy, I am with you on this, Aria is a very good bet. You could probably check out the comparisions made with Xuv 5oo made by the Autocar where they stated that " The potential of Aria is to be seen only when it is pitted against the likes of Xuv 5oo'' and that it is surprisingly good to drive in the cities inspite of its bulky stance. Source : http://www.autocarindia.com/auto-reviews/tata-aria-third-report-325047.aspx http://www.autocarindia.com/auto-reviews/tata-aria-4x2-first-report-288140.aspx Look wise it does look solid than the Xuv 5oo. The only reason why the Aria flopped was the high pricing for a " TATA Vehicle ". But if it's the case wherein budget is not an issue , you can well go ahead with the Aria. And walk in to a Tata showroom now and say your looking for an Aria and just be blown away by the discounts/ goodies you get ! Coming to the most important issue regarding the after sales service I've got a couple of points 1- We have hardly heard about an defective Arias( Lemons ) compared to germany counterparts like Skoda and even Xuv5oo to some extent , as far as I know ( I might be completely wrong on this) 2- I was reading an article about how Tata service centre guys are going to issue the service cards by using HP Tablets for the to be launched Zest and Bolt cars. Point here is " They are looking for a image makeover .
  21. Hi We need to definitely agree with the above statement and also rumours are being surfaced regarding volkswagen pulling out the plugs on Skoda brand itself considering the poor 2014 sales !! So you cannot be assured of the future of Skoda cars another 5 years down the line, not to mention the terrific ASS stories we get to read across car forums ! ( Check out teambhp for many of these Skoda ASS issues) . And yes , Hyundai Ix25 should be a good bet. And not to forget the All new Mighty muscular Scorpio which is to be launched sometime in 2015. You'll never regret waiting for this ! And considering your budget of around 15 Lakhs you can probably end up laying your hands on the top spec variant !
  22. There were lots of boos around when Bentley first revealed their SUV . Having said that , Bentley gave ears to all the critics and have done their home work in the looks department They even revealed a teaser pic of the SUV Now we have the first ever Spy pic of the humungous SUV :) Waiting with eyes wide open for the launch which is stated sometime in 2016 ! Sorry for the low resolution pic, Pic source : Topgear India
  23. Exactly... Rear view is just lovely But the Brio nose is kinda making the car look less aggresive than compared to the rear. But saying that , an MUV from Honda , ppl will love it whatever it looks like Ertiga is gonna need to find a good facelift very much soon !!! Innovas/ Xylos as well need to find replacements or they are going to face the heat soon
  24. Hi, Actually it completely depends on your needs, 1) You are a family of four owning an innova/xylo ana the fact that you can spend another 30 L for the fun quotient , then you can go for the 30 L Hatchback ( Volvo xc 40 also is a good option ) or may be the soon to be launched Benz CLA class 2) Say you have a family of four and upgrading an existing saloon you can go for the superb or the passat 3)Say your a bachelor and willing to spend 30 L then close your eyes and go for the A class or xc 40
