  1. I to did like the Ertiga. iBut in the brief TD i have noticed that on slightest cut the moddle row passengers were thrown to the opposite end. Also we are all 6 ft people, People in all rows will make life miserable with all seat adjustments even for short trip. TAUREAN CZAR2012-05-08 14:31:05
  2. Maruti Swift Dezire becomes more costly! Prices of the Dezire Diesel raised by 2-2.5% today across all models. Now the already over priced Swift gets more costly. But the Client base of the Dezire has shifted towards the Ertiga. This is because it's only around 2 lakhs more that the Dezire with the same driving comfort.
  3. Heard in the past that Tata motors is trying to develop a new MPV, a-la The ERTIGA, on the Vista-Manza Platform, that also a Station Wagon is also in the making. We also heard that Carls Foster ordered stopping of all the new launches till all glitches are ironed out on existing platforms except ARIA. Hope TML gets it right this time, But Maruti this time stole the show being a first mover here. About ARIA, hope TML plays the cards right time to revive the ARIA with better features and pricing.
  4. I don't think TATA is going to strap on the 800cc engine (to be precise a 700cc engine is been developed for the Nano)either in Diesel or Petrol onto the Indica. I think it is a 3 cylinder, 1050cc engine TML displayed at the Auto expo 2012. The engine is expected to be rough as it's only a 3 CYLINDER and TML plans to add a Balancer shaft to iron out vibrations. These are pics of this engine posted here from Auto Expo. This engine develops 685 ps @ 140 RPM which has 12 valves (4 valves per cylinder)which should reduce the costs of production and also adequately pull the vehicle which is now lighter than the V1 versions and also few BHP higher than the V1 engine.
  5. More news: Harman signs agreement with Tata Motors for supply of branded audio infotainment solutions Harman, the global audio and infotainment giant announced yesterday that it had signed a strategic multi-year agreement with Tata Motors to develop and supply branded audio and infotainment solutions for the latter's cars. Harman will utilise its world class engineering and development teams to create custom audio, navigation as well as multi-media solutions for vehicles across Tata's model lines. The limited edition Tata Aria, the cross over MPV from its stable will be the first vehicle to have Harman products, which include a premium branded audio system under Harman's JBL brand. The 360 watt JBL sound system boasts of having features such as ten speakers with a dedicated subwoofer. 6. Looks like TATA is al set to unleash phase 2 innings of the TATA ARIA. Tata displayed a new refurbished variant of ARIA at the AUTOEXPO 2012. It boasted of captian middle row seats, Harmann Audio Systems and an all=new 6 speed Automatic. If we look at the portifolio no vehicle in TML profile is luxury enough to hold a Harrmann System which is quietly expensive, and obviouslt ARIA fits the bill. ________________________________________________________ Harman signs $500 mn deals with Chinese, Indian carmakers Harman International Inc. said it signed more than $500 million worth agreements to provide in-car entertainment systems to three carmakers in China and India. Harman will provide these systems to China's Geely Motors and BAIC Motors and Tata Motors Ltd it said in a statement on Monday. The company, which provides audio products for cars made by BMW, Audi, Daimler, Toyota and Ferrari, was in talks with Indian auto makers as part of its plans to expand in the emerging markets, Reuters reported last year. The company said it was on track to record $1.5 billion in revenue in Brazil, Russia, India and China by 2015. _________________________________________________________ So expect the New Aria to boast of all new features and upgrades to take on the XUV 500 by Mahindra. I hope atleast now TML rationalizes the price and fit it into the right bracket.
