  1. I bought a Maruti Swift VDI in Feb 2011 which has covered 3500 kms till date, in one year. In the first free service, Engine oil was changed and it cost just around Rs 750/-. However, in the third free service last month (10000km/1year), engine oil was changed again (this time with some exotic castrol grade) and it cost around Rs 3400.00. The Maruti authorised dealer said Maruti has changed oil specifications! My question is whether Maruti is overdoing the oil specification? Please recommend a good engine oil brand/grade and frequency of change- considering my running is not much.
