  1. IMO. We should wait and watch for atleast six months to see how new car/suv - Force one performs as well as how market respond. Let not scrap the product before launch itself just because they are using chinese parts.
  2. Really good news indeed. Other auto companies should take lessons from MSIL about service. This will help building up the customers confidence which also results in higher car sell in remote areas.
  3. Hi Jeyar, I am not able to view the pic. Can you pls post it again. I am among them who loves Amby and really wish HM to wake up and come with refreshed AMBY. I know I am expecting too much but it will be good for HM as well to survive in todays world if they have their own product selling well.
  4. Great news as such and its going to be tough for MSIL with new swift pricing. Usually people were not at of thinking of Jazz due to very high cost although it is best available hatchback available in India. But I feel Honda slashing prices at right time as currently swift bookings closed. Few potential swift buyers will move to Jazz.
  5. Hi all, <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Any idea whether new <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />RIO launched ? As yesterday afternoon I saw 2 RIOs parked (1 black and 1 red) @ RajguruNagar bazaar on Pune-Nasik (NH-50) Highway while coming back from Bhimashankar. Black RIO was on Display truck and red one was behind the truck. Both cars were looking good. There was AD campaign going on. Premier guys were explaining to few viewers. AD campaign was going on with banners around stating "India's first compact Diesel SUV". If the new RIO is launched then how come there is no news and if not then the disgusting part is now Premier started marketing same 2 year old vehicle in small towns!!! I could not stop and check out for vehicle or take snap as the road was too crowded and my son was also sleeping and we did not want to break his sleep.
  6. The LONG DRIVE is the only thing it comes to my mind when I am approaching to long weekend in any season and starts hunt for good driving destination. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> As usual, in April there were few holidays and post this directly in August. So it was very much important to utilize the holiday weekend (22nd to 24th April 2011) as much as possible. First thought about the popular picnic spots but dropped the idea as school annual exams were over and due to that all picnic spots were going to be flooded with people. I was actually considering Saputara other than Chiplun but all the good hotels were already booked. So chiplun finalized as my sister is having house in Chiplun and there is no issue about the stay. Day 1: Thane
  7. Superb cars. Indian road also should be improve with better quality which will encourage the super car owners to drive these on road as well.
  8. Really nice topic Bala.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> In my view one more point, regular vehicle servicing and check up before starting for a long drive would help avoiding break-down in the middle of nowhere. Also while driving; everyone should respect other vehicles/drivers on road. Sometimes it may cause traffic jams specifically on single lane roads just because one is trying to overtake from wrong side or opposite lane although other vehicles moving slowly in queue.
  9. This new Force SUV looks big in pics. Hope it will have ac vents in all three rows and better leg space for 3rd row as in currently only xylo is having good leg space in this catagory. Force motors should keep their service network prompt and responsive to meet end user's expectations. Force motors should keep the cost 11-12 lac ex. showroom for top end version.
  10. Hi all, It is really good that HM Amby coming up with new CS version. Amby is always one of my dream cars and this may be only because in my childhood I could only see only Amby and PAL cars everywhere in <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />India and even parents used to tell that Amby is true Indian car. 2 years back I actually explored option of Amby before purchasing my DZire vxi but due to lack of refinement and bomb cost to maintain. it did not worked out. In my view, people will prefer to have a car with sturdy-ness and space with Amby with better refinement. When I am saying refinement at least it should in the level of MUL, Hyundai, Tata, etc. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I will definitely prefer to have Amby as my next car provided HM providing better refinement in engine ( petrol / Diesel ), interiors, good FE, features like Alloys, tubeless tyres, disk brakes, ABS, power steering, power windows as default. Hope HM will show some good impovement in their vehicles.
  11. Thanks all for your warm welcome.
  12. Hi Sandy, I own dzire since sep 08 and thankfully had not any issue with battery or electricals except headlamp socket replaced in last service as its melted due to usage of high power 90/100 philips bulbs. Its surprising that within 2 years dzire battery having issue. Have your friend installed any additional lights or electricals or car was standing idle for long. Standing idle is also an issue which I had for my Honda Activa when it was almost idle nearly for 2 months and had to replace the battery to sort button start issue. Is your friend is going to same authorised service centre for every service. I hope he is already doing this. Other than this I think its sheer bad luck of your friend.
  13. Hi All, I am very fond of cars and driving and prefer to drive anytime anywhere. I am having Honda Activa (Nov 2007) and MSIL Swift DZire VXI BSIII (My first car from Sep 2008) and completed more than 25000 kms with week-end / Month-end drives. I am staying in Thane (Mah) and explored part of Konkan region(needless to mention - Self Driven). I am targeting at least 1 long trip per year to other states where ever I will be able to drive and ofcourse the dream or target to drive at least once till Ladakh. I am sure ACI members are kind to share experiences and help with their suggestions about cars / driving /travelling. Definitely I will be also sharing my experiences of my vehicles and travelling. "Travel to explore your life"
  14. Its actually good thing to have 1.3 multijet engine, with refined interiors. If 4x4 option provided RIO with proper price tag then its going to be hit as in this segment there are not much options than Gypsy / Thar.
