  1. Alright now if you are from bangalore and interested in a meet. Put up you confirmations right here. I just might be in bangalore in a few days.

Hey FRG! thats great news! just let us know the dates you gonna be here and we will be sure to meet you!

Hey ppl' date=' send your confirmations, quick!!!

hey dats a good too in b`lore for a day ..sometime next week tentitivly on any plans

  2. hello...what happened mates...the steam seems to have lost...what about chennai seem to say that no one in this forum from CHENNAI....lets meet up once and am sure it would continue ahead( i think once again we are stuck up for a startsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gif)

  3. i would advise you to go in for the new generation model...rather than a model thats about to be your budget you can choose the aveo(base)which is a good car to drive with a decent mileage..and if you can wait for the swift sedan its better(but might take 3 months to launch) for the accent its good but high on the maintaince front..happy choosingsmiley1.gif

  4. the aveo is definitely a better car to drive(plush & quality interiors....better than fiesta.)and with recent changes to the gear box ratios(old cars had a very dead change feel)is smoother for the average it shoulb be between 11-13kpl in city.also you get good maintainence offers from gm on all models(no tension on maintainence costs)and bargain hard you can get a few thousands off the price..happy choosingsmiley1.gif

  5. Thanks for your advice so far.

I have drafted a letter & sent to both the dealer and the company.
I hope they now get serious about this fiasco.smiley13.gif

also send in a copy of your letter to the AUTOCARINDIA sure they can take up your case directly to could well be the misadventure of the dealer too since they tend to pass on faulty vehicles first (may be on transits..drivers driving rash..a common phenomina..)than service them..hope your problem is sorted out.

do keep us informed on the response you get from the company

  6. for your driving definitely the diesel car...well for starters consider a rugged vehicle since your driving is high.....luxary cars wont be able to take too much brunt and would prove to be a big damper on your pocket.

look at the suv`s....the Endavour is good(after the change in engine and fresh model)well in your budget this is the best pick....

  7. from the least to the best mileage car companies( well pls correct if iam wrong somewhere)

    1-GM(opel-corsa/vectra)+(chevy-old optras before 2006)

    4-hyundai-old model sonata/elantra

    5-fiat-palio petrol

6-mitsubshi-lancer-petrol( not including the amby..not into any type of comparisonsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gif)

well not including our diesel counterparts since it would be a unfair comparison....

  8. its all about the money ...honey' date='well the major price differences are due to the high taxes across the board....from the spares to the finish product..i had read somewhere that the actual  cost of our cars sold are just around 60-65% their present rates...and actually chidambarams and yashwantsinhas and.....our tax planners want money to run the country and the best way is TAXsmiley19.gif[/quote']

where does tax come when everything is made in india cars like civic and city as even the raw material for this products are made in india ,if something is imported that is the design and i dont thing our govt taxes that....smiley2.gif

..made in india or elsewhere at every stage there are taxes involved..from the rawmaterial producer to the car manufacture..each component /part undergoes different tax structure(sales/vat/octoroi/gst....)thats where the taxes come my friend

  9. if you are not too much of a quality concious then the logan is the best...well actually its got crude plastics, boxy interiors and way too blank for the price you pay...may be you can check the esteem( yeh almost  no production)but you get a great deal and a good car, else you could wait for the swift sedan....

  10. hi,was watching the R-Day parade and a question struck me,what cars do our ministers drive, should they be consistent all over( i mean in all states)..for staters, our PM/Presi/VP/Ms Sonia gandhi/AB Vajpai get around in the new BMW 7 series(7 nos  bought by the then PM Mr AB VAjpai, now shared by the above people).comming to the state level, in Tamilnadu the cm used the SAFARi or sometimes the AMBY. while his convoy consists of AMBYS/SAFARIS and INNOVAS(3 in no).

while the x-CM used MIts Pajero and the TAta Sierra(privously)

once in a tv report i saw 7 PRADOS used by the UP cm. so guys what about your states any info on that.
