  1. I have come across some discounts being offered by KUN Renault in Chennai on a number of its demo cars. These offers are only valid on these select cars, for which you will be the first registered owner. Anyone interested in any of these cars can get in touch with the dealership directly. Hope you guys find these deals useful.

  2. I came across some more deals, this time on Mahindra BS4 showroom cars that a dealer in Mumbai is liquidating. Again, these deals are only available on these select models and will last only as long as the stock does. Note: These are unregistered, sparingly driven, company cars.

Anyone interested in any of the cars can call Sumit Ranshoor - 8879774239 directly.

  3. I have come across some new images of the Russian-spec Hyundai Verna at an early showing of the refreshed sedan at one of the showrooms. The car in the pictures is not vastly different in styling from the current Verna available in India, though this can be attributed to the fact the styling has not been reworked as extensively as the China-spec model. What are your thoughts on the new Hyundai Verna?

  4. Land Rover has released a video of the new Defender SUV doing a variety of insane stunts for the new James Bond movie - No Time To Die. The video shows a couple of 5-door Defenders doing off-road stunts and taking quite the battering. The last shot of the video even shows a Defender flip, land on its wheels and drive off. With the Defender is set to launch in India in the future, does this video help increase the off-roaders rugged appeal of the off-roader?

  5. I came across these deals on Volkswagen BS4 Demo cars that a dealer in Mumbai is liquidating. Sharing these discounts here for the benefit of the Autocar India forum community, as some of these deals are quite compelling. These deals are only available on these select models and will last only as long as the stock does. Note: These are unregistered, sparingly driven, company cars.

Anyone interested in any of the cars can call Neelesh Oza - 9167100647 directly.

  6. Tata released another video if the Sierra concept EV, that showcases more details of the e-SUV. Besides the exteriors, we also get a look at the interiors of the SUV as well as some shots of the lighting available on it. What do you guys think of the Sierra concept, and would you like to see it make it to production?

  7. Some new images of the Suzuki XL7 have surfaced online. This set of images showcase the car in much more detail, even revealing some of the interior details and features. Although it doesn't look vastly different when compared to the XL6 sold in India, its additional seating and interesting features like the display in the rear-view mirror could contribute to its appeal. What do you guys think of the XL7, and would you want it to come to our market?

  8. Maruti Suzuki has revealed the first sketch of its new concept that it will unveil at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Sketch is of the Futuro-e SUV-coupe concept, which is expected to be the same size as the Hyundai Creta. What do you guys think of the concept car's design and how much of it do you think will make it to the production car?

You can read more here - https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/maruti-suzuki-futuro-e-suv-coupe-previewed-ahead-of-auto-expo-2020-debut-415700

  9. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, has just made an announcement via Twitter that the popular online retail platform will roll out its fleet of all-electric delivery rickshaws in India. These rickshaws will be completely electric, will have zero carbon emissions and they will be used for the last mile delivery of products ordered via Amazon, making the delivery process that much more environmentally friendly. What do you guys think of this move to electric rickshaws?

  10. Laffite Supercars is a company that has been created by Bruno Laffite, who is the nephew of six-time Formula One race winner, Jacques Laffite. The company has introduced the new Laffite G-Tec X-Road,  which is essentially an off-roader with supercar levels of performance. It uses a 720hp, 6.2-litre V8 and it sends power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The model weighs only 1,300kg and it comes equipped with specially tuned off-road suspension. Only 30 units of the G-Tec X-Road will be produced, with the company claiming an electric version of the off-roader will also be available later on. What do you guys think of this crazy off-road supercar?

  11. Volkswagen is not too far away from launching the new T-Roc SUV in the Indian market. In international markets, VW has a sportier R variant on sale, which gets more aggressive exterior styling and a sportier setup when compared to the standard SUV.

Are you guys eager to see the T-Roc launched in our market?

  12. It appears that Toyota has begun working on the Fortuner facelift. The car has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage in thailand, hence not a lot is known about the extent of the design rework. Though like most mid-cycle facelifts it would be safe to assume new front and rear styling, new alloy wheels and updated headlights and taillights would be part of the package. Are you guys looking forward to the Fotuner's facelift?

  13. Here are some new images of the Tata Altroz premium hatchback wearing the Mumbai Marathon livery. The car in these images also has a large clock on the top as it will be used for alerting the participants about the amount of time that has elapsed. This will be the first chance for many people to see the new premium hatchback in person. Are you guys looking forward to seeing the Altroz in person?

  14. An Eclipse Cross has been showcased at the 2020 Tokyo auto salon by Mitsubishi, sporting off-road gear. This specific model features off-road tyres, new wheels, a roof rack and gloss black elements on the exterior. All these modifications give the Eclipse Cross a more rugged and capable look. Besides these changes, the car remains unchanged mechanically. In my opinion, this more rugged look increases the appeal of the Eclipse Cross as an SUV. What do you guys think?

  15. Toyota has begun work on the next-gen Land Cruiser - its full size, go-anywhere SUV. The Land Cruiser has an almost cult-like following and that explains how the current generation model  (J200) which was introduced internationally back in 2007-08, with only a few updates along the way, is still on sale in multiple markets. The next-gen Land Cruiser will be the first generation change in over a decade and with this change will come a new 3.5-litre, V6 hybrid powertrain which will replace the current V8. The new car will also feature new interior and exterior styling, though the exterior design won't stray too far from the tried and tested/ iconic Land Cruiser shape. I have come across some renders of what the next-gen SUV could look like and I have added them below. What do you guys think of these renders?  Will the next-gen model still appeal to current Land Cruiser enthusiasts?

  16. Tata has officially revealed the first image of the Nexon facelift which will be BS6-compliant and is slated to be launched later in January. Design-wise, the Nexon facelift appears very similar to the Nexon EV that was revealed recently. What do you guys think of the design of the Nexon facelift?

You can read more about it here - https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/facelifted-tata-nexon-tiago-tigor-revealed-415577

  17. I appear that tuning shops have already started getting their hands on the new Honda City abroad, as I have found some pictured of a modified City RS. From the looks of things, the City has been fitted with new 15-inch wheels and tyres, new brakes, new suspension and new sportier bucket seats in the front. In my opinion, the mods are purpose-driven and should aid with bringing out the sporty character of the car, however, the wheels appear quite small, especially with the lower ride height. What do you guys think of the modifications?

  18. The Japanese specialist for Suzuki Jimny kits - Damd, has also revealed a classic iteration of the much loved Jimny called the Jimny The Roots. This kit essentially replaces the new SUVs grille and instead equips it with a new grille design similar to the one on the 1970s Jimny. The kit also features blacked-out old-school off-road wheels, body-coloured ORVMs and rear bumper as well as a dual-tone colour scheme. Damd will also display this iteration of the Jimny at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon. What do you guys think of the classic look on the Suzuki Jimny?

  19. I have just come across some images of yet another modified Suzuki Jimny. This time the popular 4X4 has been done up to resemble the iconic Ford Bronco. This modification has been carried out by Damd - a Japanese firm that specialises in kits for the Jimny. The Dronco (the name given to the aforementioned modded SUV) will be showcased at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon. What do you guys think of the modification, and would you get this done to your Jimny?

  20. Hey, I came across some images of the Hector 6 seater. These images have shot of the interior that shows off the middle row of seats. I also came across the patent filing of the Hecto Plus name by MG. What do you guys think of the name for the Hector 6 seater and do you think it will create some space for itself in the market?

Looks of the Mitsubishi Eclipse is good but nowhere near H.Creta. Though I am not a big fan of both the makers but to beat creta price tag would play a major role. The service network of the Mitsubishi is pathetic in India. Hyundai has remained sincere to the Indian market.

I agree as I am also not sold on the looks of the Eclipse cross. Though I feel in the current market, the SUV to beat in the segment is the Kia Seltos as it provides a very well rounded package.
