The Honda Civic has made a comeback after almost 7 years. No doubt, the previous Civic was one of the best car that came outta the Japanese market and without doubt one of the best car a petrol head could ask for. This JDM gem has been a dream for every mod-boy out there, for the ways it could be pimped out. It just looked too hot from any angle, thanks to the low stance. And not to forget the manual transmission that came with the 1.8l petrol engine which was just super fun. But the question is, will the new civic live upto its predecessor’s legacy? will it meet the expectations of those who waited for it. Will it make a mark like how it did in the past. The all new Honda Civic comes ONLY with an Automatic petrol transmission and one really powerless and lazy dirty diesel engine, keeping the "Kitna detha hei"in mind. In fact the diesel gives almost 25kmpl mileage, but is that what we really want in a civic? nah....i dont think so and its pretty late considering that the global markets have started phasing out diesel engines. Now, the only Automatic-petrol engine comes as the first and the biggest disappointment. Apparently Honda had conducted a survey, i presume of old ungils and lazy men, in which they opted for automatic over manual transmission. The manual should’ve been an option, at least for those who specifically demand for it. The automatic transmission couldve been better. It has got that typical rubber band effect that the Honda CVT transmissions have. A rubber band effect is where there is very minimal pull in mid RPMs. If you want to overtake someone instantly, you gotto plan well in advance and wait for that punch after the RPM crosses the 5k mark during when it gets too noisy though. Civic has got the least power amongst the cars in its segment. It is three seconds slower than the octavia in hitting the 100 kmph mark. In fact there is another 1.5L turbo charged Civic available in the international market, which would’ve been a better pick for our market. Honda should’ve brought it into the market to keep its enthusiastic civic lovers happy or at least to be on lines with its German rival, The Octavia.. In that case, octavia has a really good line up of engines. It has got 2 petrol variant, not counting the VRS missile. One amongst the two variant in a 1.4L turbo charged petrol engine, which is more fun to drive because of the manual shifting tunnel, and the other most powerful variant is the 1.8 RS engine. Now this is one other reason why the germans are better in this segment. The next car in the segment is the Corolla altis, which once again a really good car, but with a very less power just like the civic. In comparison with the corolla civic is better in every other way, that no doubt. Let alone the performance part, the new Honda Civic is stunning in every other way possible. Its has retained the killer looks, especially with that sliding roof and sports back. It has still got that low stance and it is intensely eager to hit the corners with great stability but something is missing….. the power punch. The low stance plays a very important role in keeping the centre of gravity in place and thats what makes the cornering so much fun. There is almost no over-steer at all which gives you all the confidence that you want. Honda has taken the interiors to a whole new level by using premium touches wherever necessary. The old gen civic was the first in market to have digital speedometer which had me drooling back then. This one has improved it and made it a lot better by providing all the necessary information. The Japanese have made every corner of the cabin count and have made the car very ergonomic in terms of space. It is also loaded with a lot of first in class features like the camera in rear view mirror and multiple safety feature. But even after all this, the sales figures had gone down from 3000 units in the first month to around 300 units in the following months. This gives us a glimpse of Civics success rate in India. It Wouldve been a lot better if Honda Ups the Civics performance figures. this is the main reason why the civic has not gotten the market it actually deserves. MaybeLets hope the type R to hit the shores at least. Thats the only way Honda can keep its fan boys happy. Fingers crossed.

Honda brio Since 2009 I had my eyes on the concept that Honda showcased during an auto expo. In 2011 Honda launched that concept in India with the name ‘Brio’. We booked one in urban titanium and we got ours after quite a long period. Since then she’s in our family. The car is something of a miracle in terms of driving, the sure footed handling at speeds of up to 145 is extraordinary for a hatch in this segment. The engine is a gem of a unit, vtec gets kicked at 4500 rpm yo. It has a sporty soundtrack to get things even better and that you would love to listen again and again by hitting the redline. Space is more than average, don’t ever go on the looks and say that it would be cramped to sit inside. I have a friend who is fat and also tall and he can sit in her quiet well, two guys like him can sit comfortably. The boot is good for me because the man maximum and machine minimum philosophy works quiet well for me. The visibility is good, no blind spots. the gearing is quiet tall though, like 2nd gear goes up to 85 so you have to to downshift quiet frequently but that’s not a problem considering how good and precise the shifts can be. the steering is well weighted, enough light for the city use and enough heavy for going highways. The things that normal people want are also there. The only problem though is that it goes up to 145kmph only so yes she lost her virginity quiet early. People say cars are just there to go from a to b, sadly that’ not the truth. Cars are more than that, Personally I would chose cars over sex. She is the kind of girlfriend who rewards you with everything she has and you giver her your best. Verdict: If you are car guy with a small family then this car suits you and if you want to be a petrol head then go ahead and buy one.

A new star. Honda's latest compact crossover SUV model, Has been in production since 2016. In Southeast Asia, reputation is small. In the global SUV car market, it still doesn't occupy a place. Because it hasn't been launched globally. It fights alone in Indonesia. Accumulating popularity Its unique features are Modern luxury appearance with SUV For the Indonesian market Expanding interior space (7 seats) High fuel efficiency Manual transmission, smooth displacement As a new product, it is not without flaws Front wheel drive, no off-road function Even if the appearance inherits the tough line of the SUV But less punchline Honda BR-V harga : Rp 251,2 Million to Rp 293,8 Million

I have come across a render of what the new Honda ZR-V SUV which is expected to be a rival to the Toyota Raize sold abroad, would look like. The renders show a sleek SUV with a Coupe-like roof line and sporty proportions. Not many more details are known about the SUV. What do you guys think of the design in the renders and would you like to see it come to our market? The new Honda CRV is all set to hit Indian shores early 2013. Looks good and overall seems to be a nice car too. But it lacks the all important thing..a diesel engine. The current CRV hasnt been moving of the shelves in recent times and sales are next to nothing. And here comes an all new model which Im sure will be more expensive. Last I knew the CRV touch almost 30 lakhs on road Mumbai. What do you think the pricing will be now? Is it good time to launch a petrol softroader when petrol prices are going sky high? Here is Autocar Indias review of the car as well http://www.autocarindia.com/Review/326779,2013-honda-cr-v-review-test-drive.aspx

The carmaker will reveal the facelift of the second generation of the Honda Freed at the upcoming 2019 Tokyo Motor show, which will start next week. In Japan, the car is offered with an option of either a 129hp,1.5-litre petrol paired to a CVT automatic transmission or a 110hp, 1.5-litre hybrid which is paired to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. What do you guys think of the Honda Freed and would it make a good addition to Honda's India line-up?

Hello everyone, I want recommendations as which car is the best buy here? Looks - i20 is a lot better as I simply dislike flat front and rear of amaze Features - Both are on par. i20 just adds 4 extra airbags and projector headlamps Price - i20 asta is cheaper by 40K than Amaze but i20 Asta (o) is costlier by 40K [on road] Drive - Both are equally good and refined. Engine/power/torque almost identical. i20 feels peppier. Please provide feedback. The car is to be driven by my sister. Thanks!

Honda India, the domestic arm of Japanese car maker, seems all set to introduce its much awaited Amaze sedan in the Indian auto market. Interested buyers can now book the upcoming model at the authorised dealerships of Honda India by paying an amount of Rs. 10,000. Industry experts believe that Honda Amaze will make its grand entry somewhere in April in the Indian auto market. However, it must be noted that the auto maker has not revealed the exact pricing and other details of the upcoming Amaze sedan yet.
