  1. Hot-on-the-wire-news this morning is that Hyundai India is still testing its Grand i10. The surprising part is that the car still continues to be camouflaged, even after the launch on the 3rd day of last month.
  2. Hyundai revealed the Grand i10 in India and at the same time has revealed the new i10 for Europe. Both the cars looks pretty similar except for a few details like DRLs on the front of the European model and the roof rails are missing as well. The 2014 i10 for Europe is longer than the current i10 by 80mm, wider by 65mm and lower by 50mm. The wheelbase sees an extension of 5mm. The Grand i10 for India is even larger than the 2014 Euro i10, though the official specifications aren’t out yet. For Europe, Hyundai will use the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder petrol and the 1.2-liter Kappa2 petrol. A diesel engine hasn’t been confirmed yet. The 2014 Euro i10 will make its global premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show Source: Indianautosblog
  3. Hi Guys, I require your feedback and suggestion in choosing the best vehicle among the selected below. I had a look at almost all cars between the range of 5-7 Lakhs (OnRoad price) Petrol variant and have narrowed down to the below cars. Please suggest me a good one. Hence, i am looking for the car which is . More comfortable for my parents age . Fuel Economy (Driving would be for about 50-60 Kms daily and mostly on Highways). . As it is my First car, could like to have as much feature as possible . Safety (ABS, Airbag) - Would you guys recommend these? . Boot Space Shortlisted Cars (Petrol): . New Ritz - (Vxi or Zxi ?) . New Dzire - (Vxi) - As Zxi falls outside my Budget. . New i20 - (Sportz) . Hyndai Accent Executive . i10 GenNext (Magna or Sportz?) . Indica Vista Other cars seen: . Ford Figo - Spacious but did not like much the Build quality. . Tata Manza Club class - Only available in Diesel and above my budget . Honda brio - Has very less Boot space. . 4. The Special Edition trend continues and now its an i10 which is called as the 'ITech' special edition to celebrate more than 12 lakh i10 owners worldwide. As expected there are only cosmetic changes in the car.The special edition i10 comes with red accents on the dashboard, doors and aircon vents, while the seat covers will be red and beige. As seen on the i20 and Verna, the i10 also gets a reversing camera integrated into the rear view mirror, along with a remote mounted on the steering wheel that controls audio and bluetooth functions. Exterior wise all you get is body graphics. Mechanically the car is the same. It is available only with the 1.1-litre Era and 1.2-litre Magna variants. 6. Mr. Ümit Karaarsalan, chairman of Hyundai Assan (joint venture between Hyundai and Turkey’s Kibar Holding), has confirmed that a compact sedan will be made using the next generation i10′s components at the Izmit plant in Turkey. Mr. Ümit Karaarsalan speaking to Hurriyet Daily - We will begin to produce new and bigger versions of the i10, which will be set between the i10 and i20. As part of the same platform we can easily produce a sedan, so as soon as we release the other model we will begin to work on sedan production. The next generation i10, according to media reports, is premiering at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. Hyundai India may not waste any time in introducing the replacement in India that will launch with a compact diesel engine displacing 1.1 liters. IAB So its no rocket science, we should also get it soon.
  7. Hyundai is readying the replacement for the i10 and proof of this comes from the first-ever spy pictures of the car being tested on Indian soil. Though heavily disguised, it looks longer and wider than the current car and the silhouette of the grille behind the cladding suggests the new i10 follows Hyundai's ‘Fluidic’ design theme. Other clues pointing to this are the swept-back headlights, the low, elongated chin and the rising shoulder line. Top-end variants could get alloy wheels and rear parking sensors as well as fog lamps as standard equipment.
