  1. Mercedes had showcased the GLA concept at the Shanghai Motor Show this year. Now the GLA has been spotted testing in Dubai. The GLA is especially for emerging markets and India will surely be an important one for the car. It is definitely a part of the onslaught of models that Mercedes has planned. From the pictures it looks more on the likes of the BMW X1 and the Volvo V40 Cross Country. It doesnt look an outright SUV. Mercedes is expected to unveil the GLA at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. Source: Indianautosblog
  2. Here are scoop pics of the Nissan Urvan caught testing in Chennai sent to us by an Autocar India reader . Looks like we might see a launch soon. The Urvan is sold as commercial cargo mover as well as micro bus with seating configurations from 8 seater to 14 seater in Asian markets. In the Philippines, the Urvan comes with a 3.0 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine putting out 105 horsepower and 209 Nm of torque. Lets see what engine comes to India.
  3. Spy pictures of the new generation Nissan Qashqai have surfaced on the Internet. It is expected to hit the world market coming November. Looking at the pics this could be a good replacement for the X Trail in India. The X Trail anyways hasnt done too well in India at all. What do you think? Source:
  4. The Indigo seems to be a case of never say die and Tata is making it soldier on. How long we dont know but here are clear spy pictures of the eCS which has undergone a facelift. At the upfront, the smart looking grille is the most noticeable change. Also seen are new fog lamps. That completes the changes to the front end. Moving to the back, the rear bumper now gets dual tone shades. The car seen in the pics is a diesel LX variant. There is no clue as to when this model will be launched but it should be sometime this year. But it is not alone as it will have competition from other sub 4 meter sedans like the DZire and the soon to come Verito CS as well. At a time when sales are down Tata should be looking at new models rather than keep refreshing old ones in my opinion Source: Motorbash
  5. Here are pictures of Force Motors Force One SUV but in a different avtaar. This is a stripped down entry level variant which could be priced lower to boost sales for the product which hasnt really taken off sales wise. Visual differences seen in the pictures are: No body coloured bumpers or ORVMs No DRL LEDs No chrome inserts No fog lights, roof rails and alloy wheels Apart from the above Im sure there will be some stripping of features done to the interiors as well. And there are rumours that Force may not use the Daimler engine in the low cost variant. If launched at an aggressive price with minimum creature comforts, this could find a place with tourist and taxi operators for sure. Pics & source: Motoroids
  6. Here are pictures of the 7th gen Volkswagen Golf being tested on our roads. They were snapped by an enthusiast at one of the food malls of the Mumbai Pune Expressway. On questioning the official said that thet were testing engines which are supposed to power the next gen Octavia which will be launched later this year. The Golf seem here was an RHD and had a 1.4 TSI petrol engine. As much as we would like it to come here, the Golf is NOT being launched in India sadly. Pics source : Team BHP
  7. Spy pictures of the next Force Gurkha have surfaced. The new car which should be launched in 2013 was spotted near Pune. Based on the old Gen Mercedes G Wagen, the test car had G inspired round headlamps, bonnet mounted indicators, roof rails and a snorkel. The new Grukha is expected to come with the Mercedes 2.2 litre FMTech engine from the Force One SUV which is BS IV compliant. The Gurkha is a true blue offroader so one cant expect too many goodies but should definitely come with air conditioning. Pricing is not known but it can be expected to be priced in the Mahindra Thar territory. I love the Gurkha personally. It just has so much character. Another reason is that Im extremely fond of the G Wagen. Pics source:
  8. Mercedes' has begun testing of the new A-Class based SUV which could be called the GLA. Here are the first ever spy pictures. Source: Carscoop
  9. A member ‘Mr Ace’ has brought forward images of the Honda Brio Automatic caught in what appears to be a stockyard. Considering the AT box is caught on a model with alloys and fog lamps, there is a very good chance that it will be only offered on a top-of-line variant. The Honda Brio is already offered with a 4-speed CVT in Thailand and Indonesia. We are expecting the same unit to hit the Indian shores. The Honda Brio AT will compete against the automatic variants of A Star and Hyundai i10. It will be priced at around Rs. 60,000 more than the manual version. (
