Students of automotive design at IED Italy, in collaboration with Suzuki, have released the U:man design concept (as part of their dissertation) which in essence pays tribute to the iconic Suzuki Jimny off-roader. Hence the student took design elements from the Jimny and made a modern and minimalist variation of it which is still recognizably a Jimny. This is apparent from its small form-factor, boxy shape and upright windscreen. I have attached images of the concept below. So what do you guys think of this design concept and would you like to see some of these design elements incorporated in the next Jimny? IMAGE SOURCE
  2. Its finally happened. Ratan Tata, an icon of the Indian auto industry has finally called it a day on his 75th Birthday. The man has transformed Tata Motors into a fighting global company and today stands a force to reckon with. He was questioned when he took over Jaguar Land Rover which was in terrible losses but now the critics are eating their own words. He gave the world what he promised. A car for the common man, the Tata Nano which has been a mega achievement thanks to Ratan Tata. I feel so proud of the Tata Nano and the fact that India owns two of the most iconic marques in Automobiles today. Thank You for everything Mr. Tata. Take a bow. You will be missed. Hope you enjoy your life in retirement and give more time to your awesome car collection. It is my wish to personally meet you someday . Lets use this thread to pay tribute to the career of this great man Mr. Tata will be succeeded by Cyrus Mistry
