  1. I have a Wagon R 2006 Car. And it keeps on having starting problem on and off. I had got it checked in a Maruti Service center. I was told there is no issue of starting and the battery was to be changed. I changed the battery around 1.5 months back. It was running fine. Suddenly a week or 2 earlier it refused to start. Even after multiple tries. I recalled a previous situation around 2 yrs back. I remember on technician opening and shaking one particular plug then the car starts(pictue attached). I did the same it started. It happened twice in last 2 3 weeks. I did the same and it started with no trouble. However after starting the engine symbol on the dashboard glows, until i switch off the car and restart it again. The problem still persist. Thorough check did not throw any problem however this issue namaste keeps on coming after every few months. Any idea what it could be about. Attached the pictue below of the plug.
  2. Kindly let me know about the actual on road mileage about the Maruti Wagon R. Maruti Suzuki claims 19.3 km/l (Petrol) mileage of Wagon R .
  3. After enjoying the success of the Ertiga and the new Dzire compact sedan, Maruti wants to try and push the sales of its 'Blue eyed boy'. This website has done a news article with a picture that displays some subtle changes carried out to the front of the car. The question is, will a minor face lift be sufficient? Hopefully, the face lifted car will come with the DDIS engine as an option. Link to the story :,maruti-readying-wagon-r-update.aspx
  4. When MSI launched limited edition Wagon R Pro, it was clear that maruti is getting ready to lock horns with Hyundai & GM, by making space in werehouses for a new feighter & as expected, here is a preview of 2013 Suzuki Wagon R that made its debut in Tokyo this week: They also unveiled was a sportier edition of Wagon R called Stingray (Red one) which may not find its way into India. This new version carries it's traditional tall-boy design philosophy. The front looks new but one can easily identify it as a Wagon R. The larger headlamps are stretched back; the rectangular grill bears three thick strips and is finished in silver color. Interestingly there is no provision for fog lamps, perhaps they may be integrated in the future? On the rear, the bumper feels a little bulky making it look taller than it actually is. The tail lamps have undergone subtle changes. Coming to the interiors, the new dashboard is finished in dual tone. The steering is new and the gear knob is now mounted on the dashboard, freeing up the space between the driver and passenger seats for storage..At 3.39 metre the car is shorter than the outgoing model but the wheelbase remains same at 2.4 metre, which means there won’t be any skimping on the legroom. The 660cc 3 cylinder, petrol motor makes 52 bhp and 64 bhp in normally aspirated and turbocharged versions respectively. However, if the new Wagon R comes to India, the K10 motor powering the current Wagon R will take charge & The new Wagon R weighs between 780 Kg – 870 Kg; so it'll be adequate. Though this will be lesser than it's competition, but added FE will be it's major selling point! Do share your openions about it!
