Renault to make Maruti Alto 800 competitor

Recommended Posts

Renault is working on a small car to take on the Alto 800. The car will be made in India and Brazil Here are a couple of renderings which I found online based on the Datsun redi-Go concept that was shown at the Delhi Auto Expo this year. The car is codenamed XBA

To really compete with Maruti, Renault has to build a strong after-sales support network, which could be a daunting task and a lot of money. Where there is a will, there is a way, and Renault should improve on this critical buyer requirement before introducing such mass market cars. The Duster was selling because of its qualities, if Renault wants to sell more Dusters, they have to improve their ASS.

Although crowded, this segment has more potential in India, as even the rich would like a small car in their garage as a city roundabout. A car from Renault would be expected to have more build quality than the tin-box Alto 800. Looking forward to see such launches in India.

Looking to the pics , the car can make a nice debut in the small car segment. Interesting competing with it main rival Maruti Alto 800.

Since Renault has occupied good market share with the grand success of duster, entering small car aka entry car level market can strengthen its roots in indian car market.

But for really making a worth debut in the market, renault has to develop strong ASS network so as to compete with market giant MS and hyundai !!!

Well if we see the counts of cars in Indian roads, we can easily find that no of car owners won a hatch or a sedan. But even in between then, Hatches are more than sedan's. So to attain a good market, Renault is planing to launch the respective competitor of Alro 800.

Nissan has already launched product Datsun Go in the Indian market with the name of its sub-divisional brand Datsun. This car is already ready to compete with Alto 800 and Hyundai EON.
