VET5 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2018 Toyota recently took the wraps off updated version of its Fortuner TRD Sportivo SUV for Thailand. From the front, a big change is the bumper and grille surround. The previously blacked-out elements surrounding the grille give way to brushed-metal-finished trim while the blacked-out section under the grille is now body coloured. The bumper is new with a lower and wider central air dam with red highlights, a splitter running along the bottom lip and the prominent air vents on either side now house sleeker fog-lamp units and brushed-metal trim inserts. At the back, the trim running between the tail-lamps gets a brushed-metal finish, too. The bumper is also new with a noticeable, blacked-out lower section. It now features a faux-diffuser look along the lower edge and larger reflectors or rear fog-lamps positioned along the outer edge. The interior of the Sportivo 2 carries forward the black-and-red affair from the Sportivo. VET5 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2019 Toyota has launched the special-edition variant of the Fortuner, called the TRD Celebratory Edition at a price of Rs 33.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Available only with the 2.8-litre diesel engine and six-speed automatic transmission in 4x2 configuration, the new variant celebrates 10 years of the Fortuner in India, and is Rs 2.15 lakh more expensive than the standard Fortuner 2.8D 4x2 AT. NB10 7 Report post Posted January 16, 2020 It appears that Toyota has begun working on the Fortuner facelift. The car has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage in thailand, hence not a lot is known about the extent of the design rework. Though like most mid-cycle facelifts it would be safe to assume new front and rear styling, new alloy wheels and updated headlights and taillights would be part of the package. Are you guys looking forward to the Fotuner's facelift? IMAGE SOURCE
VET5 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2020 First photos of the Fortuner facelift have appeared online ahead of its mid-2020 world premiere. Looks like it gets a revised bumper and grille, and uses less chrome. Source
VET5 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2020 The Fortuner facelift was spied recently with a new bumper and grille design that’s in line with newer Toyota SUVs like the RAV4 and Raize. The grille is a lot slimmer and has glossy black bits instead of the chrome trim, and the bumper is more pronounced with triangle-shaped faux air intakes on each corner. Also, the headlight shape seems to be mildly altered. Came across this render showing what the updated Fortuner could look like. What do you think of it? VET5 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2020 The facelifted Toyota Fortuner has finally been revealed in Thailand... this is the first major update for the SUV since its debut in 2015. It now gets a revised front-end and its 2.8-litre diesel now puts out 204hp and 500Nm. As for the interior, not much has changed in terms of design from the pre-facelift model, but one major difference is the inclusion of a larger, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay compatibility. India launch is expected some time in 2021. VET5 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2020 The facelifted Fortuner also gets a top-spec ‘Legender’ variant with a sportier persona. It packs in a split grille, a different front bumper that houses sequential LED turn indicators, dual LED projector headlights with a unique pattern for the LED DRLs, a gloss black finish replacing the chrome up front, 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone paint schemes and more gloss-black elements incorporated into the rear bumper and boot lid. The Legender variant also packs in a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen, and in addition to 7 airbags and the usual suite of safety features, also gets 'Toyota Safety Sense', which adds a collision prevention system, lane departure warning and radar-guided dynamic cruise control.
