Pics: Volkswagen Vento TDI DSG spied

Recommended Posts

A Vento test mule has been spied testing and according to the source its the TDI with the DSG automatic gearbox. This was surely needed and should be a game changer in the C segment. The only other diesel auto in this segment is the Verna diesel aut but it comes a 4 speed box. Here is the pic

Facelifted Vento has been launched with option of 7 speed DSG.

Vento 1.2 TSI petrol (7-speed DSG) in Comfortline and Highline trims. Rs 9.35 to Rs 9.92 lakh

Vento 1.5 TDI manual in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline variants. Rs 8.57 lakh to Rs 9.90 lakh

Vento 1.5 TDI (7-speed DSG) in Comfortline and Highline variants. Rs 10.49 to Rs 10.94 lakh

7 speed DSG now becomes the most affordable C2 segment AT diesel car (even City diesel top model manual and Verna diesel AT top model costs more).

I am really impressed by VAG on their stand to offer DSGs in their mid range cars.

Leaving aside fear of unreliability of DQ200 transmission (which many say, they have fixed now), this is the best pick of the C2 lot.
