OBD II scanner

Recommended Posts

Hi yet again guys

Recently a thought regarding the obd has come to my mind . I have seen plenty of OBD 2 to laptop connection, OBD to bluetooth. Can these be actually used to change my cars settings? Can they tell me how my vehicle is performing? If yes then which one can I buy just to try it out ?

In our country wear and tear to our car parts especially shock ups, wheel bearings etc are more frequent as compared to the

operating parameters relating to the engine. If the oil level in the engine fall you would get a alarm on the panel

display, same applies to the brake fluid level. The OBD would indicate for example If the bhp of a cylinder, out of four, falls then what would one does, take the car to the service centre. The technician who has done polytechnic/ITI would not understand that and if he does understand then he would simply change the spark plug of that unit.

If you are planning to install it in your car to satisfy your technical urge, then you should go ahead.
