harikkuttan 1 Report post Posted September 24, 2015 Hi all. What are your opinion on the effect of the above topic in Indian car scenario. Are others better than VW in this topic. Do any one have a comparison sheet. With Regards
vikky1971 5 Report post Posted September 24, 2015 In our country most of the commercial vehicles and govt operated buses don't comply with the pollution norms. They manage to get PUC. Earlier TATA diesel cars coming out of factory would not pass the PUC but RTO. would pass the vehicles from under pressure, dealers. PUC certificate issuing outlets are flexible so as not to loose the business.
harikkuttan 1 Report post Posted October 1, 2015 It is better to do random PUC check by RTO on all vehicles, so that pollution should be controlled by owner's responsibility. Any how Government initiated this and ARAI have started this random checking. Let us hope for good. And what about Diesel engine trains, power generators, auto rikshaws running partially on kerosine. What action may the Government take on it. some points related to pollution by petrol and diesel engines carbon monoxide produced by petrol engines, when a car is warming up, dangerous Suspended particulate matter or SPM, the tiny particles emitted from the exhaust of a diesel engine.Modern diesel engines are usually fitted with filters to to reduce the amount of the emitted SPM, but the bigger problem lies with older diesel engines as they not have filters to filter such particles Hydrocarbon contain harmful chemicals which causes cancer. Petrol engines emit higher levels of HC than diesel Nitrous oxide combines with the lowest level of the ozone layer to form smog. New diesel engines produce a higher amount of NOx than new petrol engines, but petrol-powered cars produce more NO2 as time goes by. Nitous oxides are more dangerous than all the others. librankur 39 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Very sorry state of affairs. The Govt could ban MAGGI , why doesnt it step up and ban VW from selling its vehicles in India till they come clean. Others manufactures have also admitted to it and they should all be taken to task. No wonder its a Suit Boot KI Sarkar.
harikkuttan 1 Report post Posted November 2, 2015 Hi librankur, good day wishes, How can ban VW without doing trustful testing. only US has found this scandal. More polluting vehicles are here in India already. Only Govt. can put penalty. What about road side samosa and kachori and other snacks at stalls, comparing with Maggi. Are they free from lead, oxidants and carcinogens. Nestle is food giant and the Govt. has taken action against it and it is a bold and model step for improving packed food quality in India. I have read that Got had already asked explanation to VW

nuvisys 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2019 VW admitted to installing a defeat device to 11M cars worldwide. We had invented a device that could reduce diesel emissions from 8% down to 0.81% opacity. It is actually a 2 device-in-one. nuvinuvi.blogspot.com. This is what India need, I believe, coz of the pollution which is in your country two weeks ago. Pls see the videos how it reduces severe diesel emissions to almost nil. It is now being used in our country to pass vehicles that have high diesel emissions. Mod, if it is against forum rules, pls delete our blogspot. thanks
nuvisys 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2020 I forgot to state here that our technology does not only 'clean' emissions but it also let you save 10-30% on fuel, the engine will run smoother (lesser noise) and will have better acceleration! Pls see our blog. Thank you.
