Suzuki Jimny ! This is the right time

Recommended Posts

Now this is a pretty sweet mod! H&R has given the Jimny a new suspension kit, with new springs lowering the SUV by 45mm (thereby lowering the center of gravity to improve handling). The suspension upgrade also includes a set of Koni shock absorbers and roll bars.

Other visible changes include a new camouflage livery, a roof-mounted LED bar, black Borbet CW alloys with off-road tyres and smoked turn signals at the front.

What do you think of this?

Check out this Jimny Sierra tuned by WALD International, called the Jimny Black Bison Edition! It gets a new grille with headlight covers, an aero-bonnet, new rims and off-road tyres, LED DRLs on the front bumper, and roof-mounted lights. WALD International has raised the SUV's ground clearance too.

What do you think of it?

Wow, these Jimny's look quite convincing. At a glance, they are easy to confuse with actual three-door G-wagons, though sadly Mercedes no longer builds three-door iterations of the G-Wagon. This just proves how much potential the Jimny has in the modification department and I hope it makes its way to our market, the sooner the better.

I came across some images of a modified, special edition Jimny. The small SUV has been modified to be more off-road oriented and its appearance also follows suit. What do you guys think of this special edition Suzuki Jimny?

Suzuki has a Jimny Tough concept on display at the 2019 GIIAS. This one comes equipped with more off-road ready tyres, winch, fog lights, LED lights on the front roof and some more equipment. Ground clearance has also increased from 210mm to 360mm

Now here’s a fun mod…  students from the Nihon Automobile College (NATS) had this modified Jimny (called the Jimny Adventure) and displayed it at the recent Tokyo Motor Show. It gets new springs and shocks, new off-road wheels, and the ride height has been boosted as well. The bodywork itself also sports some changes – the regular doors have been removed, and there’s steel tubing wrapped around the exterior. The entire roof assembly can also be removed. What do you guys think of this take on the Jimny?

I have just come across some images of yet another modified Suzuki Jimny. This time the popular 4X4 has been done up to resemble the iconic Ford Bronco. This modification has been carried out by Damd - a Japanese firm that specialises in kits for the Jimny. The Dronco (the name given to the aforementioned modded SUV) will be showcased at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon. What do you guys think of the modification, and would you get this done to your Jimny?

The Japanese specialist for Suzuki Jimny kits - Damd, has also revealed a classic iteration of the much loved Jimny called the Jimny The Roots. This kit essentially replaces the new SUVs grille and instead equips it with a new grille design similar to the one on the 1970s Jimny. The kit also features blacked-out old-school off-road wheels, body-coloured ORVMs and rear bumper as well as a dual-tone colour scheme. Damd will also display this iteration of the Jimny at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon. What do you guys think of the classic look on the Suzuki Jimny?

I have come across yet another modified Suzuki Jimny off-roader. The Jimny in question has been modified by 'Wald International' in Japan, with raised suspension, a lot of off-road focused equipment including new tyres and a variety cosmetic updates. What do you think of this iteration of the Suzuki Jimny?

The Jimny in India will be not be launched as the 3-door version sold abroad. Instead, it will come with a larger, new 5-door body style that’s in development. Here's another set of renders showing what it could look like. What do you think of it?
