Honda is expected to introduce the HR-V SUV in India around Diwali this year. The HR-V will sit between the larger CR-V and the smaller BR-V in the carmaker’s India line-up. Honda will import the SUV via the CKD route and assemble the vehicle in the country.

The HR-V for India is likely to come with a 1.8-litre petrol engine, similar to the one seen on the Civic, mated to a CVT gearbox only. Additionally, the 120hp 1.6-litre diesel is also expected to make it here with the HR-V.

Honda's given the HR-V RS an new all-black interior in Malaysia. What do you think of the change? Definitely think this suit's the overall "sportier" aesthetic much better.

It's confirmed, the Honda HR-V has been axed for the Indian market even before it entered production. Honda was all set to conduct the final trial production of the HR-V SUV in September this year, though as the model has been axed Honda has stated it will compensate suppliers for tooling investment.

You can read more about it here - https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/honda-hr-v-india-launch-plans-axed-413951

Here are some renders of what the new 2021 Honda HR-V could look like. The proportions are similar to the current car though the styling is much sharper and more modern in look. The well defined headlights and taillights in addition to the more squared of front and rear design fit into Honda's current global design aesthetic.  What do you guys think of this render?
