VET5 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2019 Volkswagen's just revealed the sportier version of the T-Roc - the T-Roc R. It gets the EA888 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Golf R, which is tuned to 300hp in the T-Roc R + it also comes with an all-wheel-drive system and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission as standard. It sits 20mm lower than the standard T-Roc due to its lower and stiffer suspension setup. The T-Roc R gets sportier bumpers, an anodised finish for the radiator grille, matt chrome mirror caps, R badges and 18-inch alloy wheels as standard; with an option to upgrade to 19-inchers. It also gets the Golf R Performance's large discs brakes and a quad-exit exhaust layout, with an option to upgrade to an Akrapovic system. VW claims the T-Roc R can do the 0-100kph sprint in 4.9 seconds. You can take an up-close look at it in this walkaround:
