which car to select alto lxi or indica xe

Recommended Posts

I want to buy a new car which comes within 3.0 lakhs.I am a big fan of alto, which I feel very much comfortable to drive. My friends are forcing me take indica xeta gls, which they say worth for the money.I have made test drive of xeta also. It's ok,powerful and spacious except I feel some discomfort with accelerator pedal ( may be because I got tuned with driving maruti)and engine sound. Also in various forums poeple are making negetive remarks on indica like bad customer care, vibration, inferior quality plastics and no resale value etc.In maruti I find it's proven technology, good customer care ,fuel efficiency etc.My friends say alto is not worth for the money we pay.I am confused, experienced hands pl advice.

Ya alto is better..but if space is matter Indica is good the Xeta petrol is not that bad as diesel but resale is not that good and i think theres no vibration in petrol...Well i dont know about TATA service but hav heard that its not that good..

I would avoid the Alto LXi. It is underpowered, and you have to switch off the AC in order to make a decent get away from the lights. Also, while the initial build quality is no doubt better in about three years it starts rattling all over, as if it is self destructing. My son had a VX which he used for 3-1/2 years but then the more powerful engine made it a different kettle of fish! Even then though competent it never matched the Zen (carb, which he owned prior to that) in comfort and smoothness.
