Tata Altroz - NEW spy pics

Recommended Posts

Tata's upcoming 45x hatchback has been spied testing once again! This video gives a pretty up-close look at the car:

Recent spy pics also give a better look at the interior of hatchback. You can check those spy pics out here: https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/tata-45x-hatchback-interior-spied-409334

Details on engines being offered on this new hatchback are scarce but it would be safe to expect more powerful versions of the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel powerplants currently on offer on the Nexon. Gearbox duties are expected to be taken care of by a six-speed manual, there is also a twin-clutch gearbox in development. The production version of the 45X hatchback is expected to launch sometime in the second-half of 2019.

Looks like Tata will launch the production version of its 45X hatchback in August 2019! A recent spy pic sheds light on the production version's front-end, revealing some interesting details. Looks like the car's face will be pretty similar to the concept's. The spy pic also shows angular elements that are part of the front bumper, the upswept window line, the prominent shoulder line that originates from the front door and runs all the way back to the tail-light and the chunky four-spoke alloy wheels.

New spy pics are out giving a closer look at the interior of the upcoming 45X hatchback! These new pics clearly show the semi-digital instrument cluster and the free-standing touchscreen atop the centre console.

Tata has just released a teaser for the 45x hatchback. Do you think it could be called the Aquila?

Seems like it... Tata tweeted out this clue too

Did a quick search and looks like the name 'Aquila' is related to the Frigatebird that's "able to soar for weeks on wind currents"

Tata Motors has released another teaser image that eliminates the 'Aquila' name for its 45x hatchback. It seems like the name could actually be 'Altroz'. What do you all think the name is?

Tata’s released a new teaser for the Altroz.

Managed to expose the images a bit more to reveal some details that can’t be seen in the video… Looks like the car’s going to sport a chrome lip and a grille that’s quite similar to the Tiago’s

Another day, another teaser :P

Opened up this teaser slightly further too. What are your thoughts on the Altroz based on the teasers we've seen so far?

And another teaser! This one's of the side profile. Looks like the rear door handle is on the C pillar.

Stiched together this new teaser with the one released yesterday. Angle's a bit off, but it yet gives a pretty good idea of what the car could look like:

REVEALED! Tata has taken the wraps off the Altroz and Altroz EV at the Geneva motor show! Looks like it sports a slimmer version of Tata’s ‘Humanity Line’ grille upfront, large headlamps mounted above the front bumpers (similar to the Harrier), an upswept window line with strong character lines running across the car’s length, pillar-mounted door handles for the rear doors.

A teaser video of the upcoming Tata Altroz premium hatchback has been leaked. The video showcases a top-down view of the car which reveals the front doors open to a 90-degree angle. The teaser also shows off the interiors from which we get a glimpse of the touchscreen infotainment system and semi-digital instrument cluster (similar to the one seen in the Harrier). What do you all think of the Tata Altroz hatchback?

Came across a couple of new spy pics of thew Altroz. This particular one seems to be a lower-spec model (note the steel wheels and absence of traffic indicators on the ORVMs and fog lamps):

Here's some pics of the higher-spec variant for comparison:

The model will be launched by Tata at the 2020 Auto Expo which will be held in February in New Delhi. Pricing will also be announced at a later once it is launched, though expected pricing is in the 5-8 lakh (ex-showroom) range. I have attached some images and tables with technical information of the hatchback below.

You can read more about it here - https://www.autocarindia.com/car-news/india-spec-tata-altroz-revealed-415137

A proper detailed look at the Altroz's interior... these pics really show off the ambient lighting feature as well.

What do you think of the Altroz from what you've seen of it so far?

I think the biggest mistake Tata have made again is not offering AT at the start.

Market has decidedly moved towards AT and here's Tata not offering AT in Altroz and Harrier.

There is no point in offering the same at a later date as customer would have made their mind about the product by then.
