Updated Royal Enfield Classic 350, 500 spied

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 and 500 are set to get a major update. New spy pics show that the bike is equipped with front and rear disc brakes on the right-hand side, instead of on the left like the current model. This change has resulted in the chain shifting over to the left from the right. It also has a more compact exhaust system, which could mean one of two things – Royal Enfield is either downsizing its gigantic exhaust to make the motorcycle more visually appealing or this could be the all-new BS-VI model that is running a reworked engine and exhaust setup.

Royal Enfield also appears to have replaced the gas-charged twin shock absorbers for more classic-looking units.

The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has started reaching dealerships. The bike seen in these images is not the next-generation model, rather, it's the the bike updated to the BS6-compliant engine. Found some images of the bike finished in gun metal grey and stealth black:

Royal Enfield has launched the BS6-compliant version of the Classic 350 at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with the upgrades to the engine – in the form of a fuel-injection system that replaces the carburettor on the BS4 model – to make it comply with the upcoming BS6 emission norms, the updated Classic 350 also gets two new colour options: Stealth Black and Chrome Black. The previously offered Signals Airborne Blue, Signals Stormrider Sand, Gunmetal Grey and Classic Black paint options will continue to be available. Bikes painted Stealth Black or Gunmetal Grey will come with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard.
