Hardaman
My 3 year old BMW recently lost its steering power while driving in rain. At Navnit motors, Mumbai, they informed me that it is not a water damaged car and hence no insurance claim is payable. They said that the steering rack need to be replaced which not only is unavailable in India, but also costs a bomb! The rack will have to be imported from Germany and it will take atleast a month to come to India. There is no answer why the steering rack build to last years have failed so early. My car is already at their workshop for the last 2 weeks and it will be another month before it is repaired. What kind of customer service is this?? Is this what you expect after spending a fortune buying German cars? What German engineering and quality are we taking about here? Can pl somebody help me escalating this matter if at all that would be of any help!
