Bajaj Chetak electric scooter

Bajaj has just brought back the Chetak name after a 14-year break. The Chetak is an electric scooter that has a 4kW electric motor and the scooter will sport an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack. Other technical details are yet to be revealed. The electric scooter will, however, have two riding modes - Eco and Sport which provide a claimed range of 95km and 85km respectively. What do you guys think of the new electric Bajaj Chetak?

The new Bajaj Chetak e-scooter has been launched at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom Pune and Bengaluru). It's available in two variants – the base-spec Urbane and the Premium, which costs Rs 1.15 lakh. The Premium model gets additional metallic colour options, a dark/light tan seat, metallic-coloured wheels and a disc brake at the front. The Urbane model, meanwhile, misses out on the metallic colour option and uses a drum brake at the front.

Bookings open tomorrow, but the first units will be delivered in Pune and Bengaluru, before it is made available in major metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. You can head here for more info:
