Volkswagen Nivus compact SUV

Recommended Posts

Volkswagen recently released a teaser of its upcoming Polo-based compact SUV, to be called the 'Nivus'. The video shows that crossover will have a sporty, coupé-like, sloping roofline and a unique front-end design to differentiate it from the Polo and the T-Cross. At the back, the Nivus gets LED tail-lights that extend into the tailgate. Volkswagen is set to launch the Nivus in the Brazilian market by mid-2020. There's currently no news on its India launch.

Came across this render showing what it could look like:

Volkswagen teased its Nivus Coupe-SUV during its Annual Media Conference... and the image reveals quite a few design details! It appears to take some heavy inspiration from the T-Cross.

Found this detailed walkaround of the Nivus for those who have been waiting to see the SUV-coupé in the flesh. Its underpinnings have plenty in common with the India-bound Taigun's, but do you think Volkswagen should consider bringing the Nivus to India?

The Volkswagen Nivus SUV Coupe has entered production in the South American markets and i slated to go on sale on those said markets later this month. Here are some images of the SUV on the production line and a few finished examples. What do you think of the Nivus and would you like an SUV-Coupe offering in our market?
