Car Discounts in India

Recommended Posts

I came across these deals on Volkswagen BS4 Demo cars that a dealer in Mumbai is liquidating. Sharing these discounts here for the benefit of the Autocar India forum community, as some of these deals are quite compelling. These deals are only available on these select models and will last only as long as the stock does. Note: These are unregistered, sparingly driven, company cars.

Anyone interested in any of the cars can call Neelesh Oza - 9167100647 directly.

With the BS6 deadline growing ever closer Hyundai is rolling out some big discounts on their portfolio of BS4 cars. I've compiled a quick list of discounts you can avail at your nearest Hyundai dealership:

Hyundai Tucson

Benefits up to Rs 2.5 lakh

Its no surprise that Hyundai are pushing heavy discounts on the BS4 Tucson with the facelifted BS6-compliant model’s India launch confirmed for next month. The Tucson is available with a choice of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options with both getting the option of manual and automatic gearboxes. Buyers will like the SUV for its space and impressive cabin quality and strong diesel engine.

Pre-facelift Hyundai Elantra

Benefits up to Rs 2.5 lakh

Hyundai upgraded the Elantra to meet BS6 compliance in October last year along with giving the executive sedan a mid-cycle facelift. Now, dealers are offering benefits and discounts of up to Rs 2.5 lakh on any unsold stocks of the pre-facelift model. Unlike the petrol only facelift, the older model was available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Hyundai Creta

Benefits up to Rs 1.2 lakh

The current Creta is nearing the end of its life-cycle with the all-new SUV revealed at the Auto Expo and set to arrive sometime in March. Dealers are offering discounts and benefits of up to Rs 1.2 lakh on the mid-sized SUV though only for the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel models. The Creta is well put together, gets plenty of kit – though some newer rivals offer more – and is quite easy to drive as well making it a city friendly SUV.

Hyundai Xcent

Benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh

Like with the Grand i10, the Xcent too has remained on sale following the launch of the all-new Aura compact sedan earlier this year. Presently Hyundai dealers are offering benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh on the first-gen compact sedan putting it in the same price bracket as the Tata Tigor and under much of the compact sedan segment. Buyers have a choice of two engine options – a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol or a 1.2-litre three-cylinder diesel unit.

Hyundai Verna

Benefits up to Rs 95,000

Hyundai dealers are offering benefits of up to Rs 95,000 on the Verna in a bid to clear stocks of the BS4 compliant mid-sized sedan before the arrival of the facelift and the BS6 deadline. A rival tot eh Honda City and Maruti Ciaz, the Verna can be had with a choice of two petrol and diesel engine options – 1.4-litre or larger and more powerful 1.6-litre units. As with other Hyundai cars on sale, the Verna packs in a fair bit of kit, is refined and the diesels are quite frugal as well though it isn’t as spacious as some of its rivals.

Hyundai Grand i10

Benefits of up to Rs 80,000

Hyundai mid-sized hatchback has been reduced to just two petrol variants with the diesel engine engine option and fully-loaded variants dropped from the line-up. With benefits of up to Rs 80,000 available on the hatchback, the Grand i10 will appeal to those looking at getting a spacious, well put together hatchback but on a tighter budget.

Hyundai Elite i20

Benefits up to Rs 70,000

Hyundai’s rival to the Maruti Baleno and Honda Jazz, the i20 is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 70,000 depending on the variant selected. Those looking at the well equipped higher trim levels can avail of benefits of up to Rs 70,000 while lower variants attract discounts of up to Rs 60,000. As with other Hyundai cars, the i20 is well equipped and well put together. The easy going dynamics also make it very city friendly.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios diesel

Benefits up to Rs 60,000

The newest car on the list, the diesel Nios is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 60,000 with the carmaker looking to clear stocks to make way for the upcoming BS6-compliant diesel model. The Nios offers a well kitted out and put together package with plenty of space within the cabin with the frugal diesel and light controls making it a good city car for daily commute.

Hyundai Santro

Benefits up to Rs 60,000

The Santro hasn’t quite lived up to the popularity of its predecessor but makes for a good city car owing to its compact dimensions, roomy cabin and light controls. A rival to the hot selling Maruti Wagon R, the Santro is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 60,000 across all variants. The hatchback is powered by a  69hp 1.1-litre petrol motor with a factory CNG option also available.
