N DD wats exactly the traction control is??? I hat read it somewhere before but i dont remember actually..

Traction control basically makes sure that your wheels don't slip or spin at the same place (especially on slippery surfaces). When you have a powerful enough engine, you can't nail the throttle on slippery surfaces ,like mud, 'coz your wheels end up spinning without the car actually moving forward. Traction control makes sure that although you floor the pedal, the power delivered to the wheels is limited electronically.

Here's a link from howstuffworks on this one http://auto.howstuffworks.com/28000-traction-control-explained.htm

Enabling traction control would mean no more wheelspin and burnt rubber at traffic signals smiley19.gif

Was reading that it works on the exact opp. principle of ABS.

ABS kicks in when the wheel rev speed indicates a lower speed than the vehicle lateral speed, and TC is when the wheel rev speed shows a higher vehicle speed than the vehicle lateral speed.

In the first case, the braking force to the locking tyre is reduced to prevent the locking, and in the second, power to the driven wheel is reduced to eliminate the wheel spin.
