SGV2 5 Report post Posted January 2 The MG Hector, which was launched in India in June 2019, is due for an update this month. The facelifted model has already started reaching dealerships, indicating that the launch is imminent. As part of the upgrade, MG has given the SUV a reworked, blacked-out grille with chrome inserts. Another prominent change is the set of 18-inch alloys which aren't only a size up on the current model's 17-inchers, but also feature a different design. Beige coloured upholstery is visible in the images as well, revealing that the upcoming model will, in fact, have a dual-tone interior scheme, as opposed to an all-black theme earlier. This should translate to a sense of even more space in the already cavernous cabin. No changes are expected to the mechanicals, which means the Hector will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. As earlier, only the non-hybrid petrol will have the convenience of an automatic (a 6-speed DCT unit).
