anveshp 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2008 even in some Aci issue(cant remember which but will tell u later) in which indica' date='palio, wagonR,santro, estilo, spark were comapred....and only thing was good in both marutis was its Ac's...santro and spark came out as best...so now no debates should be there comparing santro with wagonR[/quote'] Mate, I completely agree with you that SANTRO is better than WAGONR. I wanted you to list the downsides of owning a WAGON R
speed 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 Well, this thread got lost in flurry created by miscreant members. I am planning to go in for SWIFT diesel, but splash has interested me & so theres a change of mind. I would not mind waiting till festive season for splash. Only thing is that will SPLASH be launched with 1.3 diesel alongside petrol?
designersf 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 yup...there will be a petrol version as well....its well worth the wait...wait for splash
speed 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 No no im looking for diesel one.
octane_100 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 @Speed: If you look at the spy shots there is a Splash 'VDI with ABS' version visible. I am not sure they will plonk the same 1.3 MJD in the splash. May be they will wait for a smaller diesel to be developed by Fiat. Also, i think Splash is slightly smaller than Swift. Anyway i feel you should decide after having a look at the Splash
Innocent 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 Maruti is setting up the production facility for their own diesel engine in Maneser, but I am not sure about it's cubic capicity.
rssh 59 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 No diesel for splash early and specially the 1.3lt one the edtior said in the autocar show.
bluesapphire 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 If Splash comes with diesel it has to be 1.3Mjd or no diesel...coz nor Fiat neither Suzuki has small capacity diesel...
bluesapphire 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 An if it comes than i think it would eat up swifts diesel market...so dont expect splash diesel now...

speed 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2008 The pics. show a vdi. splash, is it for testing only? Sales canabalisation is an issue, but spalsh diesel will be good package.
designersf 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2008 I spoke to a maruti insider/service manager and obliged him to tell me more about the splash and astar....it seems maruti is doing it as secretly as possible...maruti is worried that the nano will canibalise some of its models...so its taking a calculated approach...it seems maruti wants to give us all a big surprise...donno wat it actualls is and that the car is on its way to showrooms
rssh 59 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 I think they are making some kind of decision weather to launch splash,a-star,mrwagon and cervo because all of there spy pics have been seen also I think the wagonr, estilo, alto all will get upgraded at the same time may be in diwali and they want to create history in number of vehicles sold in a month.
bluesapphire 1 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 To launch all vehicles together is not a wise decision acc. to me....they should launch it one by one so that their whole year becomes a history...
wickedass 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2008 suzuki is at its top game i see. they really ar gonna give it too i10 and spark.
designersf 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2008 ya...launching a lot of cars will create greater confusion in the minds of the buyer than there actually is (already too many cars to choose from)....

gurdanish 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2008 thanks for update speed! but don't you think that maruti is offering a lot of products in the same segment? are they trying to catch maximum slice of market share at the cost of individual car's success?
