praji.ooo 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2008 Will half clutch cause any damage to the clutch disc of a diesel car?
mayakani 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2008 yes it will wear out faster and will have to be replaced faster , hence keep your foot of the clutch lever
vibhor 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2008 In some of the cars there is also dead pedal provided to keep the left foot of clutch.........
sgiitk 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 The diesels have a far higher torque than their petrol counterparts. So prolonged driving with a slipping clutch can wear it out faster in a dlesel. On the other had at (or near) idle the Diesels do not develop much torque (the turbo has not cut in) so it does not matter.
rssh 59 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 TRY to put a dead pedal in your car so that your itchy clutch leg gets space and also half clutch should not be used in higher rpm range or say beyond 15000rpm .
vibhor 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 ya.........its a good idea to put a dead pedal in your car.....it will really help to put your foot off the clutch n to avoid any damage to your car's clutch plate..............
mayakani 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 it is good idea to add dummy pedal only if there is space and it does not interfere normal clutch operation
